Description: Nearly a year after closing its Collins Avenue location, the iconic 40-year-old Cuban cafe alights on Alton Road, settling into a smaller SoBe space with blue-and-black tiled floors and its signature walk-up window where locals get their morning cafecito fix. The menu includes breakfast staples like fried eggs and bacon, plus classics like Cubano Sandwich and churrasco (grilled beef) that never grow old.

We wanted to have cuban food so we decided to try this place. We walked and there is a wait to be seated sign. We wait and no one comes. Somebody finally yells from behind some counter telling us to pick a table and she'll bring menus. We sit for about 15 mins and finally brings the menus. We wait amother 10 mins to order our drinks and since we waited for so long we ordered as well. Our food took forever and once it did come out the server never checked on us again. We were never asked if we wanted another drink or anything. And I ordered maduros and she never brought them out. Worst service we had while we were there. She did not deserve the 18% gratuity they put on the check.

We were couple and we took the all-you-can-eat buffet. The options are limited so do not expect full tables of meals, but for 8.95 it is definitely worth the cost. If you are tired of sandwiches, burgers and italian food, or the portions anywhere else are not enough for you, come definitely here. It is not excursion through cuban cuisine, but definitely brand new taste.

We had breakfast here on two consecutive days. We chose the eggs, Cuban toast and coffee over the American. Good food at an affordable price. The people were super friendly and helpful. The art deco decor was nice. Overall very satisfied with everything.

i came here twice while i stayed in sobe. First i went for lunch, food was extremely amazing specially Ropa Vieja, i also had yuca frita which i was impressed of how fresh it was. second time was after bar/club hopping . had a cheeseburger which was delicious and my boyfriend had a lechon sandwhich , just that he didnt like it much bc it was too dry he had to add a few sauces to make it better but still wasnt a good choice. Other than that it was good :)
