“A nice local spot”
Reviewed June 17, 2014

While in Miami recently for a family wedding, we were introduced to this little gem or a place. We first went there for supper and while the food was good, it was a tad hit or miss. My mother-in-law ordered the Filet Mignon and wanted it well done. The waiter then proceeded to lecture her on how she should never get Filet Mignon well done and what the inside should look like. She ordered it anyway and asked for medium well. My wife also ordered Filet Mignon and asked for it to be cooked medium. When their steaks arrived they were both (what I consider) well-done. The Lobster Ravioli, on the other hand, was fantastic and had big chunks of lobster in the filling.

Our waiter that night acted as if he couldn't be bothered and was bored. We had to ask for our glasses to be refilled, something that I think is an egregious mistake.

Having had a decent, if lopsided supper there, we decided to try it for breakfast. Here is where this place shines. Everyone raved about their food and it all looked amazing. Try the scrambled eggs with jerk seasoning. They were literally the best scrambled eggs I have ever had. The waffles and french toast looked to be cooked perfectly and the coffee was very good as well. Our waiter that morning was the exact opposite of our waiter the night before, very attentive and he never let a single coffee cup run dry.

“All Meals Special”
Reviewed June 17, 2014

You can go for breakfast, lunch or diner and you will eat a wonderful meal with excellent service. The breakfast in particular is one of the best of any place in Florida. Great atmosphere, you can sit outside or inside. This is a great place, and if you have a small dog it is also welcomed, and the waiter will serve it water.
If you go to Miami, try this place you will agree.

“Pretty good”
Reviewed June 13, 2014 via mobile

Pretty typical street-side dining in Coral Gables. Large menu. Efficient, if not overly friendly service. Reasonable prices. We ordered the mushroom triangoli pasta, grilled chicken salad, spinach salad, salmon salad and chicken piccata. All were fine.

“Nice Place to People Watch”
Reviewed June 6, 2014

I had a glass of complimentary Champaign while waiting on our meals. At first the bugs were bad from the trees. A lady at the next table requested an umbrella be moved over the table. That took care of the problem. The food and service was good. After dinner, we had a drink at the bar to free up the table for other diners. Nice atmosphere.

“Longest wait ever”
Reviewed June 1, 2014

The wait was 45 minutes for 5 people inside. Chose inside because it was rainy and lots of dogs and smokers - I wasn't up for it. I missed my text saying the table was ready by 14 minutes so they gave the table away and we waiting another 1hr and 20 mins - we were ready to leave when they sat us. The staff is very friendly and try hard but even though it was my mistake to miss the text I don't feel it was worth the wait. Food was good but not amazing IMO. It's a nice place with a friendly vibe but the wait left a bad taste in my mouth.
