I had trouble finding a table a week in advance for Valentines Day. db Bistro was had space, and I thought it would be safe given Daniel Boulud's reputation. Alas, the experiences was mediocre, which was especially galling given the up-charge for the special prix fix meal. The dishes seemed to have been prepared in advance, rather than to order. While they had the look and menu descriptions typical of high-end cutting edge restaurants, the execution did not match. The wine pairings were hit or miss, and several were especially bad choices with the food. The services was also not up to the price. We had to wait for our table, and then experienced less than professional attention. I realize that Valentine's Day is often a bad time to eat out, but I wouldn't return here on a bet.
