Had some great tapas at Wynwood Kitchen. Loved the fingerling potato/chorizo hash, the Scallops and the maduras. A friendly place in an arty neighborhood.

All food is served tapas style and sharing is a must. Tasty food. They have an outdoor area which is a nice spot to relax and eat dinner with friends. Not your typical kind of restaurant and more of a younger and artsy vibe.

My friend and I arrived around 2:30-3pm, starving but they didn't open the kitchen until 5pm. So we drank. The Breck Vanilla Porter is actually quite sweet for a beer.

The two artist inspired cocktails I got were the Ron English and the Kenny Scharf. The Ron English surprised me quite a bit - the nutmeg and the [large] pineapple spear make this interesting confection that, mixed with the gin was this unique, intriguing but STRONG beverage. In my opinion, the pineapple spear AND the juice unbalanced the flavors. Be wary of this - you might be tipsy after one. It's an unforgettable taste. Unique, but not for the faint of heart. I find this to be more of an evening beverage than a mid-afternoon drink.

The Kenny Scharf was more a typical berry beverage except it wasn't syrupy. It was like a stronger sangria, but tastier and sweeter. It came with about half a dozen blueberries in a tall skinny glass and was mouth-watering delicious. Much more appropriate for a Saturday afternoon strolling the streets of Wynwood.

I'll be back to try the other artisan cocktails. They are truly originals. Reasonably priced too considering the ingredients and amount you get.
