There is no substitute for Zuma right now.
The food is perfect. The robata grill is spot on, the sushi - if fresher - would still be swimming.
The restaurant has a distinct vibe. Very Miami. Relaxed, sophisticated and fun. A contradiction in terms you will only experience in Miami.
If you are daring enough, try it with kids. They will accommodate you and they will love it. Even if they are picky eaters, the robata chicken and beef will win them over.

WOW! SO impressive! Got in last minute, friendly server, AMAZING food, and delightful ambiance! Definitely high end meal and wine! Presentation was beautiful! Our server was very knowledgeable and recommended some of the most delicious dishes! Besides the nigiri, the tuna tartare and the black cod were out of this world! AND you HAVE to end it with their chocolate lava cake!! YUMMY!

loved the vibrant ambience, the outstanding knowledge of their staff, and absolutely delicious foods. I'm not into chain restaurants of any kinds, but that made me change my mind. Have the WAGYU beef medium, tuna tartar is a must !! and grilled lobster. Service was amazing

Zuma's Izakaya concept is something worth seeing. They made the perfect cross over between traditional Japanese bar food and an American high end restaurant.

It is perfect for any occasion, and even though they have great sushi you should better try all their robatayaki and sashimi options, just try any of the different little dishes. I certainly didn't expect a restaurant with such a high quality Japanese no sushi food in Miami.

As for the service, our waitress was very good and helped us out explaining the menu. The sommelier was very good and of great help choosing our sake; their sake list is huge.

We decided to repeat our visit to Zuma on the same trip. The restaurant always looks packed and the hostess did act accordingly, even though I found it rude how when we made reservations again they asked us to eat in a certain period of time. We got rid of this problem by sitting at the bar (we were just 2) which was far more interesting and without any waiting time.
