Fortunately, Embassy Suites (airport) offers free shuttle service to restaurants within 3 miles; no doubt, go to La Rosa! Simple, clean, casual dress is fine. The food is simply marvelous, from the not-too-sweet Sangria to the warm, crispy sweet plantain chips. Our entrees were flat out excellent - authentic Cuban cuisine - and believe me, you will have plenty to eat. We will return!

Went for Cuban dinner and ended up at La Rosa. We were here years ago and the food was excellent so we decided to try again with the recommendation of the hotel where we were staying before our cruise.
We were there pretty early only two other parties were there. My wife ordered a soda but she never got it but it was not charged on the bill. We both like sea good so we ordered the sea food dinner for two with the server's recommendation. The sea food was good with 3 or 4 small Lobster tails, one of the lobster tails was the pacific variety while the others were the tails of Maine variety. In additional there were prawns, clams, shrimps and looked like a potato in the middle. The sea food was fresh and tasty. The pacific variety lobster tail seemed more chewy than others and it came with 2 sides. We chose rice and plantain. Overall the dinner was good and slightly pricy but fresh sea food is never cheap. We had mango pie for dessert and it was very good.
The service needs improvement. We don't speak Spanish and the server only came to take the order, brought the food and clear the dishes when we done eating. He did not come even once to ask how the food was and never brought the soda we ordered. So only 3 stars.

I enjoyed every course. I had the grouper with garlic sauce. My tastebuds were overwhelmed with joyful bliss. My husband enjoyed the pot roast that he ordered. If in Miami, you must visit this establishment.

We went here because it was close to the hotel we were staying at. The restaurant is nicely decorated. The staff were very friendly, dressed well and attentive. The menus are large, with lots to choose from. We loved the side of plantains, black beans and skirt steak. The crab was just so-so. We would definitely eat here again.

My husband and I were spending one nite at the Sheraton Miami airport before starting a cruise and found La Rosa on Yelp. It seemed close by so we gave it a try. It was wonderful! The hotel gave us a free ride over and back and when we walked in we were surprised to see a very lively old fashioned place complete with starched white table cloths, dressed up waiters, a man playing the piano and several old Cubans. We felt like we were in Havana...the food was delicious and very reasonable. We had a great evening!
