This small restaurant is the place for Cuban food in Miami. The food is great (if you cannot eat salt, best let them know beforehand, as they tend to use salt liberally), the service is attentive and helpful, and they have a large variety from where to choose. Desserts are good, particularly the "tocino del cielo" which is like an egg flan, very sweet. They have am excellent pianist most days, so it is very pleasant. They have goat a day a week, very tasty.

We stayed in the financial district of Miami so this restaurant was a twenty minute drive but so worth it. The waiters were really knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. The place was full of Cubans of all ages. I ordered the whole snapper which was breaded and fried. it was great. All entrees come with two sides. I got the moros which are black beans cooked with pork fat and mixed with white rice. They were heaven and the portion was huge. My second side was an order of the fried plantains which also were great. The service was slow which is just typical of latin restaurants. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting authentic Cuban cuisine.

This restaurant specializes in Cuban cuisine, and I'll be the first to admit I have no idea what Cuban cuisine should taste like. However, this place was recommended by everyone at the hotel I was staying at. The food was very tasty, the service friendly, and the quantities HUGE. Prices are quite reasonable.

During a business trip in Miami, Florida, I ate at La Rosa three times. On the way to Kmart, I noticed La Rosa, that evening I went to dinner with a few friends, I chose the Grouper and the others at the table chose a variety of foods. The food and service were excellent. Two nights later, on short notice, they accomodated over 25 of us. We figured with a group that size, it would be a while for the food. The two waiters serving the group were outstanding, the Broiled Jumbo Shrimp I had was delicious. Three times a charm, a group of us chose to return to La Rosa again this week, this time I had the Mahi, Mahi, again an excellent meal, with excellent service. If I were to have any complaint it would be that sitting right beside the piano, it was a bit difficult to have a conversation, however, the quality of food and service had us return a few times.
