Best Western Premier Miami International Airport Hotel & Suites

We had arranged through Price Line for the accommodations, following up with the hotel we had asked for some specific room amenities to support out stay, two queen beds in each room. The desk person said that she could only make those changes the night before we checked in, but in our case she would make an exception and make the requested arrangements. When we checked in the we got one room with two queen and one with a king. Being as the hotel was booked she could not change the rooms. Then we went to the hotel restaurant for dinner. An absolute disaster! The staff was completely unorganized, we were served by happenstance, the food staggered out of the kitchen, we were never asked for refills on drinks or if we'd like coffee after dinner. On top of all that the "New York" strip steak I ordered was over cooked and the cut of meat was by no means a a New York strip....New Jersey maybe! The staff could offer no recourse other than deducting the tip gratuity because there was no restaurant manager on the premises. I was disappointed beyond belief. The total stay time in the dining room for my family was almost two hours. My children (6,4 and 3) along with my fiance, father and a family friend had been on the road for a majority of the day and were looking forward to something special.... not at all what we were presented with.

We booked this hotel with priceline and having little kids, this is wrong to do as they would not upgrade a kingsized bed to double bed without having to call priceline to change the booking. Arriving late and tired, i had no energy to engage in such a process. Luckily the staff was nice and polite despite having their hands tied, and the room was renewed with walk in shower, and fairly comfortable bed. The only complaint I have is that despite having called 24hrs in advance to get the rooms close with my parents, they did not accommodate this. Otherwise, the hotel is not really that close to the airport, the shuttle ride was about 10minutes and waiting for the shuttle along was another 15minutes at airport. The restaurant in the hotel charges 14 for breakfast and half price for kids. Usual fare of choices. Nothing to rave about. Considering how expensive Miami is, overall it was reasonable but they could do more to accommodate requests. Disappointed.

We were only staying the night before our cruise the next day and just needed a quiet hotel which was fairly close to the airport and provided free pickup and a paid shuttle to the cruise piers. The hotel shuttle was excellent and the hotel proved to be a quiet, well maintained accommodation. The restaurant did not seem to be fully operational when we had lunch there after our arrival and we were the only customers. However, our waiter Miguel, was very friendly and helpful. We chose not to have dinner there, but it was apparent that available restaurants in the neighborhood are few and far between. My wife and I walked about 1/2 mile and found a great local Mexican restaurant. I would recommend eating at the hotel if you don;t have a car. The room was spacious and well maintained and the bed was excellent. Our experience with the staff was very positive, especially Jessica at the front desk, who took pity on us and found us a room well before the official check in time of 3:00 PM. The available transport to the cruise piers doesn't begin until 11:00 AM and we were to board between 12:00 and 1:00, so we opted for a cab which cost only a few dollars more. Our driver was a former lawyer from Cuba and the trip was worth the money to talk with him.

Room Tip: We didn't opt for the free breakfast, but it looked very good when we went down to catch our cab...

It is a great option if you are looking just for an airport hotel. The rooms have been renewed and are very will equipped. The staff is kind and helpful. Free parking with easy access. They also free shuttle to the airport which is just a 5 minute ride and it leaves the hotel every 30 mins

It would have been a better experience had they offered a complimentary breakfast with our room. The pool was freezing! Noisy doors. Excellent bed. Clean suite. Go to La Rosa's? Bakery and take out chinese food just across the street.

Loved the hotel. Nice rooms. Nice restaurant. Was not pleased with shuttle / cab service. Asked for a cab and gentleman was called from inside hotel who drove us in hotel shuttle bus and then asked for $10 payment. Told us he was cab. We took cab on return trip and it was $7.50. Not sure what that was all about, but felt it was not entirely honest.

The good: The room was clean, large, and nicely decorated. There was free wifi, free coffee, and the hotel was quite close to the airport. The front desk was mostly helpful, except they neglected to give us gift bags a relative had dropped off until three days later. The bags contained, among other things, directions to a wedding that we could have used, and a tangerine that had become rotten by sitting out. The bad: The breakfast buffet was pretty expensive ($13 pp). They had the usual spread of food, including a waffle maker. However after I made my waffle, there was no syrup except chocolate syrup. For $13 there should at least be a bottle of Aunt Jemimah's! The next day I decided to order from the menu and asked for oatmeal. The waitress suggested I just help myself to the oatmeal at the buffet. On the last day there, I again ordered the oatmeal and also asked if I could get toast to go. She brought the oatmeal (which I planned to eat there) to go (after about 30 minutes) and forgot the toast. That took another 10 minutes. And the gratuity is built into the bill. The room A/C temperature couldn't be changed nor could it be turned off except by unplugging. The pool is right along very busy road with a 4 foot wall separating the pool from the traffic. It was not the least bit pleasant sitting out there.
