I stay at Marriot hotels very often and this was by far my most enjoyable stay. Stephanie at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed every moment. Hard to find employees who truly care about their jobs these days.

This hotel is very close to Port Miami. I stayed there to board a cruise on Labor Day. Very friendly staff and excellent service throughout my stay. I had a bayside view on the 30th floor which was fabulous. Food is a bit pricey but that's expect at JW Marriot locations. The bathroom was roomy, TV provided in the mirror, large soaking tub and separate shower. I will definitely stay again when I return to Miami!

We stayed at this hotel one night on our way to Ecuador. The night we stayed happened to be our anniversary. The view from the hotel was amazing even with the storm. We watched the storm and ate our Whole Foods dinner. It was a great relaxing anniversary.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was so spacious, we wished we had stayed another night. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was great. Marriott has done a great job with this hotel.

Our check-in/out was smooth and easy. They even helped us in the wee hours of the morning when we had to get to the airport for our international flight. We would recommend this a hundred times over.

Room tip: Ask for a high floor for great views

With high expectations we arrived at the hotel. The valet was not that friendly. We entered the strangely decorated lobby. The check in was chaotic and very unfriendly. We had to ask everything twice. The package we booked included some additional tickets which were not delivered. We had to call the reception desk again.

Up to the room. The room is gorgeous and very luxury. The view was perfect. Lot of high tech things. Very comfortable

We wanted to go for a swim. Well the pool was closed because there were some glass cleaners on the adjacent building. Due to safety the pool was closed. From our room we looked down and there was a BIG crane going over the pool of the adjacent building with a lot of people at the pool there . strange no issue there?

The lounge: or better WHY call this an lounge? The only good thing is the view. The have strict opening hours. In this window there is only coffee and soda and some little snacks. Everything else you have to pay for. Outside these hours there is NOTHING not even water you can get. The service is almost non existing and very unfriendly. On one day the guy from the lounge made an very unfriendly comment to us. He said yeah it’s free with a very unpleasant look! Come on I pay top dollar and I expect the service we paid for.

I’ve stayed in many Marriott properties and this is BY FARE the worst lounge I ever have experienced! Even much cheaper properties give you an better lounge experience.

It seems that everything in this hotel is centered about extra payment on top of the not so cheap hotel room.

The good:
• Room luxury, high tech, comfortable, nice view
• The entertainment floor is NICE. Golf, bowling and so on. Very funny
• The food is of high quality

The bad:
• Lounge ? Which Lounge!
• Very unfriendly people, unprofessional behavior
• Pool closed all day (only open in evening)
• Everything costs money. And when you tip high you still get crappie service

Marriott calls this an Marquis property which should be the same level as the Ritz. Well it’s definitely NOT the case. We left very disappointed…………………………….

Pleasant welcome at reception on arrival and easy to book a late departure for the following day. Asked about the nearest US Mail office but receptionist was unable to identify nearest - found it myself the following day (2 blocks away). Room was on a corner with a good view as requested when booked. A little unnerving closing seven curtains manually on a stormy night with lightning when on the 30th floor - surprised that the curtains are not motorised for a Brand lead hotel. Very good room facilities let down by a very slow procedure for internet connection and very slow (by UK standards) TV control. Disappointed to find that the coffee machine didn't function in the morning and breakfast was very expensive for what was on offer at the buffet. Air conditioning extremely noisy and had to switch off - very disappointing!

Room tip: Ask for a bay view
