“Great food with a great vibe...”
Reviewed August 2, 2010

Heard good things about Sugarcane and had to try it for myself. Went for dinner with my wife and was pleasantly surprised. Made reservations using Open Table and had no problems when we arrived. Restaurant had an open feel with a relaxed atmosphere. Menu selection is fine with a good drink list. We ordered the veal meatballs, bacon wrapped dates, skirt steak and bone marrow. All were very good! The food portions were enough to satisfy your appetite without feeling over stuffed. The service was fine. Although we LOVE Sra. Martinez, Sugarcane isn't as pricey and the food is just as good. With that being said, we really enjoyed our experience at Sugarcane and would definitely return.

“joshua the GM made our happy hour fab!”
Reviewed July 6, 2010

A few friends and I went to happy hour; we had heard good things and wanted to check it out for ourselves. Food was great! The sliders were very yummy and the mojito pitchers hit the spot, even on a rainy summer day :) we were getting ready to leave and thinking of where to go next on the beach for dessert when Joshua came over to us to see how everything was. We told him that we were thinking of ice cream and asked him if they served dessert there. He said "how adventurous are you feeling?" we obviously said "VERYYY" and he left for a few minutes. When he came back he had 3 different scoops of ice cream (cream cheese, oatmeal and hazelnut) with 3 spoons. He was very informative and the ice cream was awesome! We will definitely be attending more happy hours!

“I don't want the tourists to find this gem.”
Reviewed June 5, 2010

"Sugarcane" is a gem of a MIami tapas bar. The setting is modern, but clearly salutes small bars in Spain or the Spanish Caribbean.

The plates were all good and interesting. Service was good. Especially enjoyed the pana cotta desert.

The crowd the night I was there was young and stylish, but without that strange, hard edge that's often inflicted on you in "in" places.
