The Downtown Miami Design District has opened up to new restaurants in a walk-around area that is nicely lite and interesting. Very similar to Lincoln Road in Miami Beach, it sports stores, Valet-Parking eateries with fun cuisines. Sugarcane is no exception: loved the creative Tapas (Goat Cheese Croquettes, seared Scallops in a creamy sauce and a fantastically grilled Octopus!). The Tuna Sushi was good, as was the Wedge salad. The side of Brussels Sprouts was great! The service is TOPS! Go casual, as it has an old warehouse environment-turned restaurant. Do order their new Guava Cheese Cake! (and It is kid-friendly).
