The place is great, it is a good example for good food an Latin American fusion. Try to be seated outside, ask for the combinations. The plates are not big, ask for two for each one in the table. You will enjoy the whole experience an prices are reasonable.

This restaurant has mostly tapas. We had the braised short ribs, goat cheese croquettes, sush, brussell sproutsi and a grilled cheese with beef cheek. The sandwich was way too much! Everything was FANTASTIC!!!!

Fun and casual, this local spot delivers. Indoor and outdoor seating, it's always a fun, lively crowd. Food and service varies, I've had some delicious meals and then some that were just average. Try the brussels sprouts, which happen to be a stand out. Sounds weird, but they are really delicious with a tangy soy glaze. Definitely a fun spot, it's loud so be prepared. Outdoors not as loud, but smoking is permitted. Overall, it's a fun spot and recommended. Not expensive by Miami standards. Good value.

Try the Brussels sprouts. Seriously. We ended up with multiple orders, they were so good. I have watched Miami slowly become a restaurant town, which is a great thing. Recently, friends came down for Art Wynwood and we stopped by Sugarcane for lunch. Customer service in Miami is a hit-or-(mostly) miss thing. Others in our group were feeling a little bruised by Miami customer service. Our group was five adults and two children and we got lucky--our waitress Ana (Anna?) was fabulous. Fun, efficient, knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. She recommended a number of dishes and the mojitos. Wait staff is important. The food was very good, the atmosphere was fun. There was only one hiccup. If a restaurant advertises its relationship to farmers and sustainable agriculture, as this one did, they should make sure the staff knows what that means, because invariably someone like me will walk in and when the menu says Heritage Pork, ask, "What kind? Berkshire? Duroc? Red Wattle? Tamworth?" Ana couldn't tell us, but she did manage to track down the name of the farm so could I look it up on my iPad (because here's the thing--I try not to eat confinement pork). True, some people find that annoying, but I like to consider myself akin to a Secret Shopper of Farm-to-Table-- I come in well-informed about ag issues, grill the staff about sourcing, and keep restaurants on their toes. That aside,we had a great experience.

If your looking for a place that has amazing food and specialty drinks while sounded by a great atmosphere, then look no further. Sugar Cane has a unique menu that is a bit pricey but worth every penny.
