“Best bet for Brunch”

Description: This is a great new restaurant in an up and coming part of town. The atmosphere and quality of food rival any popular place on the beach, but the sensible prices make it a better choice. GREAT for brunch!! Their website says "Modern Home-Style Comfort Food". Their menu has lots of variety.

“Best bet for Brunch”
Reviewed June 2, 2014

I love brunching here at Morgan's if I'm with a party of 4 or less. If its 2 even better. There aren't many tables that can accommodate a large group. On our last visit we enjoyed - I had the fritatta and DH had the egg sandwich. He sent it back to get the bread toasted - so asked for it toasted in advance. Also he didn't want the bacon and most substitutions added an up charge, but he settled on avocado which didn't cost extra.

“Bad service, Excellent Brunch!”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

I went to Morgan's on a Saturday morning and it was quite busy. The service wasn't the best, but they didn't mess up anything and the food was wonderful. You have to get the french toast - it's amazing with the cinnamon butter. Don't bother with the sticky bun though; ours was hard and tasted like straight molasses.

“Much Ado about nothing”
Reviewed April 9, 2014

Had been here once for brunch and wasn't impressed but gave it another chance since it was recommended. Decided to go indoors because it was a very hot day. Ordered the soup of the day to begin with, a very bland and tasteless potato soup. Two of us that ordered it had to return it and changed it for the lentil soup. Although not quite as bad it was also tasteless. I also ordered the chicken salad sandwich on pita. It was edible but nothing to brag about. The worst thing was during our entire lunch the staff sat at the bar preparing their roll ups with the utensils making a tremendous amount of noise. Because of the size of the space - the acoustics were unbearable. When we complained they stopped for 5 minutes but stayed in place at began the noise again. How is the staff allowed to do this in front of customers at a bar is beyond me.

The next shocking thing was when the barback came to pick up the food. He began dumping the food in a bowl right at the table! Just grabbing our plates and shoving the food in one of our salad bowls. Im sure the management was off as this was on a Monday!

All in all - the place is cute but not worth the bad service and terrible food.

“Great Sunday Brunch”
Reviewed April 6, 2014 via mobile

I visited Morgan's on a Sunday for brunch with the family. We all enjoyed it from the refreshing strawberry lemonade to the sticky buns. The raspberry mascarpone french toast was amazing. I really recommend this place, you really need to give it a try.
