Owner description: Miami Culinary Tours brings you everything South Florida’s culinary communities have to offer as well as the culture and tradition behind those doing the cooking. We organize Miami food tasting tours that not only showcase a particular type of cuisine, but also the culture and history behind it, giving tour participants the full story. The food tours in Miami are divided into different categories depending on cuisine and neighborhoods and offer foodies, both residents and visitors to the area, a chance to sample delicious dishes.

I can’t add a lot to the excellent reviews that have already been written. The number of restaurants in the area is a little overwhelming, so this tour was a great way to get a taste at several of them. It is a perfect combination of food and a little general information on the area. The tour was a highlight of our couple days in Miami.

Easy to hear, and excellent explanations of food, history, and architecture. Wear walking shoes.

We love taking food tours because many times the best way to understand and experience a city is through its food. Our two favorite food tours we have been on so far were in Chicago and Seattle and we thought nothing could top those two. However, we have a new favorite and it is Miami Culinary Tours. This tour was hands down the best food tour we have been on and would highly recommend it to anyone.

The amount of food you get on this tour is incredible and you will leave feeling stuffed. I believe you stop at seven or eight places but I may have lost track. For our tour, we stopped at a Columbian restaurant, two Peruvian restaurants, a deli coffee shop, a gelatto store for dessert and the Tudor House for a modern take on a cuban. What is great about this tour is all of the little places you would never know about or stop by if you were not familiar with the area.

All of the food was very good but we really enjoyed the ceviche and the many empanadas we got to try. As an added bonus, we received different alcoholic drinks at two of the stops and water was available at each stop. Many other food tours we have been on have supplied no drinks at all and it is bring your own water.

Besides all of the great food, you get a surprisingly decent history and architecutre tour as well, mainly of the art deco hotels on Ocean Drive. Our guide, Mirka, was born and raised in Miami Beach and has seen firsthand the area's comeback over the years. She had a lot of fun stories to share and was very friendly. Because we went on a weekday and our group size was only six, she even took us to the rooftop of the Tudor Hotel to get an idea of the Miami Beach scene from one of the famous rooftop pools.

The price of the tour is $59/per person but is actually a pretty good deal when you consider you are getting a meal, drinks, and a guided tour. The tour begins at a convenient place for parking and was well organized. One suggestion would be to give a list and address of the places visited, so we could go back to the places we liked. Would love to go again or go on the Little Havana tour when we are in Florida again.

After an awkward start we were off and tasting excellent food, interesting drinks and fun desserts. Saw Versace's former house as well as some classic art deco structures.

Miami Culinary Tour's guide starts the tour by introducing herself and giving an introduction of what everyone will soon experience. If you would be so kind to let me know what you mean by “awkward start” I will greatly appreciated. My name is Grace and you can reach me at info[at]miamiculinarytours.com. We are a small local business and we appreciate you took the time to review our food tour, thank you for the 5 stars rating!

On this culinary tour you get to visit eateries you would probably have passed without noticing and therefore experience the true flavour of Miami's diverse culinary choices. Mirka our tour guide was friendly, knowledgable and fun to be with. Thrown in we got a tour and commentary of South beaches art deco architecture. If you have never been to South beach Miami before this 3 hour tour is a must, excellent and well worth the money.
