“Our favorite family restaurant”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

Whenever we visit Miami, without exception our first (and usually one or two more) lunch/dinner is at Palomilla Grill. A true Cuban restaurant, with 8 variations of the famous Palomilla Steak. Our longtime waiter/friend, Fernando, always welcomes us with open arms and will keep our glasses and plates filled until he gets the "no mas" sign! We love the malanga fritters with delicious "green sauce" as appetizer.. We usually take the massos de puerco (fried pork) as appetizer as well. Main course one of the Palomilla steaks or the Sappo. e special cur of beef. If you like the Cuban Kitchen......... this is the restaurant to visit!

“Delicious Food & Great Service”
Reviewed June 6, 2012

My brother & 2 friends went to dinner last night to Palomilla Grill and it was delicious. First of all, the service was impeccable; friendly, knowlegeable and very efficient. We started with the Malanga & the homemade croquettes; they were both excellent and you get alot to share.
I had the palomilla with the cut up home-made potatoes and the steak was perfectly thin, seasoned and the potatoes were just plain delicious. I also had the congi which was very, very good. The others had steaks and they loved them. The fufu de plantano was one of the best I have tasted in Miami, and always get it where ever they have it on a menu. We had pudin de pan for dessert and it was very good. They make their own desserts and you can tell the difference.
Again, the service was excellent; lovely young lady. And i can't wait to go back to try one of their other palomilla steaks with a different topping; they also have it with eggs, onions, peppers and others. Great menu. Go and enjoy.

“Palomilla Steak Heaven”
Reviewed March 27, 2012

This is an unassuming restaurant that delivers the best selection in Palomilla steaks you could dream of. The prices are very reasonable and the service can't be beat, all in a relaxed yet very detailed oriented family atmosphere. We've never had a bad meal here. They also have great lunch specials and other specialties which include chicken and seafood dishes, however, their palomilla steaks are the ones to go for.

“Spacious, friendly, large portions, & moderately priced”
Reviewed March 19, 2012

My girlfriend and I had picked up some coupons for this restaurant, so we decided to try it out. Her father goes almost weekly, and it's one of his favorites. The parking lot isn't too large, but we went on a Wednesday night, so it wasn't crowded. There were a couple of diners inside, and we had a choice of seating. Our waitress came out and took our drink orders, but was a little slow in bringing our drinks. We also didn't get any bread until right before our appetizers, which also was slow in coming. I ordered the asparagus soup, and it was great. Next time I go back, I'll have to try the broccoli and cheese soup. However, to make up for the initial slowness, our food came out in a timely manner, and the portions are rather large. My steak took up the whole plate, and my rice was served on a second plate. The yuca was delicious. The side order of black beans wasn't enough in proportion to the amount of rice I was served, and out of the whole meal, probably the least tasteful item.

We paid with our coupon, and the balance (including tip) was written down for us on our check. The manager did come out and ask us how everything was during our meal. Overall, the experience was good, the food was good, and we'll be coming back.

A nice place to eat. Comfortable and friendly. The Palomilla steaks are delicious and a bargain. This is a thin cut Cuban steak, enormous.
