“Excellent Food, Unique Experience”
Reviewed July 22, 2012 via mobile

I've been going to La Camaronera for years. It is truly a unique experience...ordering food over the counter and eating in a "standing room only" restaurant.

The food is fresh and delicious...from the traditional minuta sandwich and fried shrimp sandwich to the newer, healthier alternatives - including the amazing fish tacos.

Unfortunately, this place is not open for dinner, but it is a great (and affordable) lunch spot.

“Great seafood! Unique restaurant”
Reviewed July 9, 2012

Yes the seafood is great! Had snapper sandwich, excellent ceviche, fried shrimp, and fried oysters. All very fresh and great. Yes it is a stand up bar. Does not serve liquor but they don't mind if you bring it from next door. Don't bother with the coconut dessert. It comes in a small frozen container and was just ok. Everything else was wonderful. We will definitely be going back.

“Best local seafood joint in miami!”
Reviewed June 14, 2012

As a local weve been coming here for.years. Its simply the best fried seafood you will ever have. This is not a sit down restaurant. You stand at the bar order and eat. I recommend the fried shrimp (camaron) thus the name. My personal favorite its the fried hogfish (pez perro) when available. Its a fish that lives at the bottom and only be speared and not fished. It is located in the heart of little havana and is authentic. You can walk.to the famous.calle.ocho.down.19th or 17 ave.

“Worth the drive”
Reviewed May 13, 2012

This place was featured in a Diners, Drive-ins and Dives episode. On a recent trip to Florida, I visited 4 Triple D locations and this was one of them. I had a very tasty sandwich-- it was deep-fried shrimp on a bun.

Visitors need to know that this is a lunch counter place, not a sit down restaurant. Most of their business is take-out. But absolutely worth a visit.

The place is also spotless-- very impressed with how clean and well kept it is.

“A real value in Little Havana”
Reviewed May 11, 2012

The fried shrimp are the best I've ever had. The fish sandwich is great. As fresh as seafood can be. They also serve ground black eyed pea hushpuppies. perhaps an aquired taste. many love them. They serve a soup that peaple rave about. Stand up counter service. Place can get crowded but worth finding. A taste of the best of Miami food at a very good price
