“Easy low cost ride to Miami airport Not Free”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

We got off our cruise and took a taxi to South Beach to kill a few hours. I used google maps on my phone and it said to take a bus and the metromover to get to the airport. The bus was gross with all sorts of foul smelling homeless people so we were a little worried when we got on the metromover. The bus drops you off at a terminal where you have to enter a building purchase a pass from a kiosk then go up an escalator. The get on the northbound orange line not the green line. This will drop you off at the airport transit terminal where you still need your pass to take another smaller shorter ride on a metromover that will take you right to the airport. $2 a trip or $5 for an all day pass cannot be beat. We could not understand anything said on the intercom on the train, but there were signs and it was clean for the most part.

“The metromover downtown is free”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

The metromover downtown is free and you can avoid costly parking just by using this great service. We used it every day to run our errands and enjoyed the airconditioned ride.

“Still lacking routes”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

Doesn't take you everywhere but, if you're stranded in Miami without a car this will help you to get around. Now it gets you to and from the airport. Luckily, it connects to the public bus system. However, Miami still lacks an efficient mass transit system.

“Metrorail/bus system is user friendly and cost efficent.”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

System is user friendly. Don't need cash-plastic OK..Goes to most of the wanted areas of city. Bus part of system is not as reliable as the rail for schedule keeping.Cost 3 to go to Coconut Grove from Airport vs. $30 cab. Time wise, it's a little longe, but over pretty good way to go.r
