We have been here several times when cruising out of Miami. It is very convenient to several hotels (just across the street) and offers a good variety of restaurant choices from the high end, to the casual. Also there a plenty of shops ranging from the typical souvenir t-shirts shops to brand named stores. If you just want to find a nice bar, have a drink, listen to some music and look out into the water...you can do that do. Overall a nice area for dinner, drinks or shopping.

We were staying nearby so this was a good place to walk to along the waterfront. With the music being heard from a distance we were pulled into the Cuban feeling immediately, it certainly doesn't feel like America here. It is a very busy place with lots happening (food , shops, meeting people). I didn't find the local as friendly as in other USA towns, they appeared to only want to talk to other Cubans, I felt this in general all over Miami.

A great place to watch people, eat and drink, or dance to the tunes of Latin music. This free spirited area is surrounded by Bayside Park with great sculptures. It is great for walking. Get some ice cream or a drink at Fat Tuesdays a kiosk with drinks as great as they come in NOLA. Grab those and head to the little amphitheater where you can listen to music and where someone is always dancing. Join in the fun

Used to enjoy visiting here in the early 90's. Returned recently and OMG it's no more than a flea market! Food court smells and feels dirty. What happened to this place??!!
