“Wonderful Museum, a must see in Miami!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 5, 2013

We really enjoyed seeing the beautiful old mansion and immaculate gardens. We took a free tour and it was nice hearing the history of the house. The tour guide would ask the group questions and that got to be a little annoying. The views were really nice - seeing the ocean out the back and gardens out the side made us take pictures. Overall we enjoyed it and will recommend it to friends.

It was a neat place to visit....I'm glad I went - was just disappointed that there were not more flowering plants...but it was beautiful!

“A lovely look at the past”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2013

I have wanted to visit Vizcaya for a long time and with an American Downton Abbey in mind we set out on a beautiful sunny day. ( hubby a bit reluctantly). The actual home is showing it's wear but it is a beguiling glimpse of the lives of the rich and famous at the beginning of the century. The gardens and the courtyard are lovely and most delightful is the concrete barge and views of the bay. We spent a great coupleof hours wandering around, had a snack by the pool and loved it.

If you have time you must go to this magic interesting manor. Take the metrorail to the same name station. Really worth the visit.

“Amazing!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2013

Our visit here nearly didn't happen. I had learned of its existence from the internet and discovered it was a stop on the hop on and off bus but as we approaced the stop, the guide was uncharacteristically UNenthused and it seemed the bus would only stop IF someone wanted it to, it was late in the day... But off we jumped literally at the last minute! And of course, we're SO glad we did! Amazing house as so many others have said. Phenomenal gardens as so many others have said. We had just over two hours to make sure we were on the last hop on and off bus back and it was a rush. There were many what appeared to be models in the gardens having professional photography taken but everywhere was still accessible to us to wander around. The entrance from the main road does not indicate the wonders to be discovered. Make the effort, have a look, you won't be disappointed.
