if you visit Miami this is a must place to see, the gardens have an amazing view and you can certainly have a nice walk there later in the afternoon for sunset and even at night.

The museum is also beautiful and has excellent architectural details that any visitor will really appreciate

Interesting distraction in the Miami area. the house is unusual (pictures not allowed inside), and very interesting. the gardens are the real attraction in my opinion, so pick a nice day to be outdoors. worth the trip.

A glimpse of the life of the super-rich circa 1930. Furnished with European antiques.... Gardens were amazing. Nice spot for lunch.

This is one of the most beautiful places to walk around and enjoy the view of the bay and the magnificent gardens in this palatial estate.

We have certainly seen our share of historic estates/palaces and gardens in Russia, Germany, France, Portugal and Spain. I feel that Vizcaya can proudly hold its own among the great architectural sights especially because it combines European and American traditions in a very unique and breathtaking location. Instead of 1-1.5 hours as we expected, the tour of the house and gardens took about 4 hours including a lovely tea on the terrace. There are numerous photo opportunities outside as no photography is permitted inside the house. An audio guide was extremely helpful and informative without providing too many technical details. Our 9-year-old listened attentively for most of the tour and was curious about many things. I am glad that Vizcaya was our first stop during the visit to Miami as it provided a very unique introduction to the area. I would gladly visit it again to take in the beautiful sights.
