We visited on a Monday. We arrived at 9:30 and parked right at the door. We pre-scheduled a dolphin excursion. If you want to do a special excursion, I suggest you schedule well in advance. These events book up fast. If you are going to do this, be advised that you will be changing into a wetsuit provided by the seaquarium. They are a little smelly. You may want to bring some soap to jump in the shower in the locker room afterwards. The locker rooms are nice and you will have a locker in which to store your things. Monday was a great day to visit. We noticed two school aged classes on a field trip, but other than that, there were few people there. The playground is great but my child was not wearing his bathing suit. The playground has water guns and the children get soaked, so your child will want to wear something that dries quickly if he/she wants to participate. We loved the dolphin show.

The marine animal shows were the highlight of our day spent here. We viewed all 4 shows offered and enjoyed each one. The Flipper show and the Orca and Dolphin show were family favorites although the seal & sea lion show was great as well. The Top Deck Dolphin show was more of an informational than entertaining show as one of the dolphins had recently given birth to a calf and they were not doing tricks because the baby was in the tank with the mother. Instead, we learned a lot about dolphin birth and the development of babies which was interesting for my older son and the adults, mt 6 year old daughter soon lost interest. Coupled with the fact that there are no seats and you stand for the show I would recommend families with young children skip this show until the baby matures a bit. The water playground was a surprise to us and my kids enjoyed cooling off there but wish I had been better informed so I could have packed them dry clothes. The sting ray touch tank and manatee exhibits were enjoyable as well. I really enjoyed the natural habitat area with boardwalk featuring alligators and deer and turtles. All in all, it was a very nice day and we plan on returning to allow the kids to do a seal or dolphin encounter. I would definitely recommend a visit. A more manageable size than Sea World, less expensive admission and yet I felt the shows were of the same caliber.

I've always wanted to swim with dolphins. This is a great fun and edjucational place to have this experience. You start by getting in your wetsuit which is provided, have a 20 minute briefing, and then spend a total time with your group and dolphons for 30 minutes. Groups are small but the time really goes by fast.

It was very organized and I appreciate that they provided a towel. Bring shampoo and conditioner because there are showers to freshen up after swimming with the dolphins.

Book online in advance to safe a few bucks. It was very expensive, but expected for swiming with these cuties. Admission to swim with dolphins include the park admission.

To get to the location, there is a toll fee as well as parking fee.

Expected it to be more of an aquarium but it's really sort of an older and smaller version of Sea World. The Flipper Dolphin show and the Killer Whale and Dolphin show were very entertaining and I think worth the cost of admission even though there really wasn't much else to see. Still, it was an enjoyable afternoon out and a nice break from the hectic pace of Miami Beach.

Miami Seaquarium is nothing more than a few puddles filled with water and animals thrown inside. Let's start by saying that this place is absurd.. Charging nearly $40 for adults and $30 for children that's relatively high considering that there isn't much to do or see. There aren't many places with shade. That should be a priority considering that children are the main priority. The place is old and needs restoration. With ridiculous entrance prices and poor amenities go elsewhere. This place is nothing more than a few outdated tanks with fish inside that after a while children get bored and hot. Also the food is stale. Miami Seaquarium please do the City of Miami a favor and either remodel or close down.
