We had purchased a Groupon for this experience. Once we made the reservation we were additional told we were liable for the taxes and a parking fee. When we got to the harbor we paid them for the taxes but there was no parking attendant for the lot to pay the parking fee. We visited the restaurant/bar prior to the tour departure. We also spoke to the Harbor Master and there is not a fee to park in the Harbor lot. The tour operator demanded that we pay them for parking and when we refused they refused to take us on the tour. Amazing over a parking fee they would ruin their reputation and customer service.

On 10/21 my grandson and I ventured over to Merritt island to do the swimming with the dolphins and manatees at Dolphin Paradise Tours. We had a great time. Our captain who took us out was very informative of our whereabouts and told us about things on the coast line, Mark, out host on the remote island was very good. He walked us out into the water about 150 yards. Yes the water was only about waist deep and we saw a few dolphins but lots of spots where they were feeding. We did see a couple of manatees also. It was a neat little island as it was very close to port Canaveral, where all the cruise ships go out and we saw one of the Disney ships in port. It is worth the trip. you can stay for two rounds once you go on the island you don't have to come back when the next crew comes out. We also at ate the restaurant that is right there on property and it was excellent. The water was clear enough that we did see some small fish

Nice one and a half hour boat ride and tiny island visit. Small boat. More like a 16' tri-hull. Not a catamaran. Not sure what the first picture might be. We didn't see anything like it. Their office is a trailer in the parking lot. Clean bathrooms with showers and changing area on site. We saw manatees from boat. They take you to a tiny island with a sand bar that circumvents it. Water was very cloudy. Only waist deep on sand bar but couldn't see bottom. No manatee sightings at island but we did see dolphins. Again, not while snorkeling but standing and viewing from a distance. Still, it was a nice day on the water. $2 parking fee and $6 additional fee. It also will cost you about $10 in tolls and 2 hrs. round trip from Sea World Orlando. Nice crew. No regrets. Check Groupon or similar discount sites.

My 3 year-old daughter and I did this last week. It was a good time for everyone although my daughter was a bit apprehensive about wading out to try to find dolphins and manatees. We saw 2 manatees and several dolphins from the boat on the way out. At the island, nothing happened for a while but later we saw two manatees nearby. One brushed my leg briefly. Another lady waded out with me and she brushed against the manatee many times. It was a very cool experience. Unfortunately the manatee didn't come close enough so that we could "pet" it. If it had, or if we had seen dolphins, I would have rated this 5 stars. I may try again to see if we have been luck next time. The only annoying thing was that we were asked to tip the captain 20% at least 3 times. Those who paid for the tour on credit card were asked for the tip before starting the tour.

Super hard to reserve a date. You literally have to try to reserve online at midnight. Some added fees and suggested tips you pay day off on top of what you pay for groupon. Staff is great & friendly. Captain is knowledgable. Loved the boat ride. Island is tiny. No sea shells. No dolphins or manatees at all. Got to see the Disney Cruise boat take off. Nice day out but forget about swimming with anything!
