“informative center”

This is a beautiful center right on the beach. The young volunteer staff are great with kids and are very informative. Lots of interesting things to look at. The young teenager volunteer even did an art project with the children.

“Great fun and interesting time”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

Whenever we stay in the Kissimmee area we almost always drive over to Melbourne Beach and then on out over the inter coastal waterway to highway a1a for a drive up or down the coast and we pick one or sometimes several beaches to explore as well as places that catch our eye the beaches never seem to be overcrowded or too touristy here and most of the places we have ever stopped in are very nice and friendly this area is great to explore and visit for it's laid back old Florida relaxing feel and no matter how many times you stop there is always something new to find and or explore.

“Good way to spend an hour and learn a lot”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

This is a working facility with a very nice, easy to get through, exhibit about barrier island wildlife, focusing on the turtles who nest on the adjacent beach. The staff was very friendly and informative.
