Take the time to enjoy an evening on the beach with these dedicated people. I assure you the time will be well spent. The facilitators are knowledgable, patient and sincerely care about these endangered animals.

“Nature”
Reviewed March 12, 2012

It's always good to remember nature and how we are blessed to have such creatures on this earth. Amazing turtles and the turtle walk helps to remind us of that.

“Very cool!”
Reviewed June 21, 2011

Costs $10 to meet at Holland Spessard Park in Melbourne Beach. The money you pay is a donation. You arrive at 8:45p and they give you a presentation about sea turtles on a projector screen. They have "scouts" on the beach looking out for turtles. The volunteers are only licensed to show you Loggerhead turtles. Though 4 other species of turtles lay eggs on the beach. Around 10pm a turtle was nesting on the beach so the whole group walked down to see the turtle laying her eggs. On the walk to the turtle we saw a different turtle that was in the water. We watched the turtle lay her eggs and swim into the ocean. We only witnessed 1 turtle lay eggs and then the tour was over at 1130p. The next morning I went back to the beach and saw where many other turtles had walked on the beach. If you want to see something really cool and learn about turtles, this is the place.
