Our group of 20 was welcomed on a rainy, Friday night at 7:00pm. We were accommodated quickly and the food and service was wonderful. As another reviewer positively commented about the salad, and we all agreed it was great. We had a four and twelve year old in our group and felt the restaurant menu and setting was appropriate for well behaved children. We didn't see a problem at all. The view is beautiful overlooking the water and with delicious German food and beer what could be better. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Adventured out to Cove based on reviews. Food was good as was service. There is no kids menu, but the waitress offerred chicken strips and applesauce. Atmosphere and view would be great for a date, but not a place for kids.

back again, and it still deserves first place on the beach, even though its on the indian river waterfront. its a bit hard to find, as it is a couple of hundred yards set back off a1a, but go find it.
use ur gps if necessary, great food, service , beer and wine, a lot of old time german favorites, so don't be confused by the restaurants name. i really shouldn't brag abot this hidden jewel, as it will come a time, we won't be able to get in. a bit of advise, in season, go during the week.

We have visited several times now and find that we definitely enjoy the food. There are a few menu items we steer away from now that we have tasted several items. Probably just a personal preference though. To be honest, my most favorite thing is the salad that comes with the meal. But I am a salad type person. It is very unusual comparatively and very delicious. Actually I would love to go in some time and just say give me a super size salad! Lol
View from the restaurant is great. Right on the river. Desserts are really good, especially the homemade apple strudel with ice cream!
We have found the service to be a little lacking. And this is has been a regular occurrence on our visits. For the price service should be attentive. Service is friendly just not attentive. This would be my only complaint.

Give it a try! If you like German food, you will like it.

What a surprise! Out in the middle of nowhere Melbourne Beach and only marked by a tiny unprepossessing sign is this terrific dining experience. The restaurant features German food but branches out significantly into such non-German areas as seafood and vegetarian.

We'd never have stopped there had the place not been highly recommended by the manager of the Sea View Resort across the street - where we were staying, She said it was mostly a locals only place but the locals came from the entire area to eat there. It's a place where locals go to celebrate anniversaries or birthdays or just to have that romantic experience.

It's located directly on the Inland, so be sure to time your dinner for the sunset. The service is courteous and attentive. The food was plain great. The views of the Inland and the sunsetting capped off what we can only describe as a perfect meal. And since this is still a local place, it's a great meal at local rather than jacked up tourist fare prices too.

If you are in the area and don't have at least one meal here, you are cheating yourself out of a great dining experience. Highly recommended.

Tip: As good as the main meal is, the desserts are even better. Utterly amazing pastry chef.
