I ahve been going to Bonefish Willy's for over 10 years and watched it grow in size. The menu continues to be a solid offering of fish dishes with shellfish as well. Some old favorites. But and here it is , after all the successful years they fell down on the job last night. It was a celebration day for my wife of 25 years, at a place we discovered when we first moved to Florida. The managers seem to have not learned the art of staffing the restaurant. After a 60 min wait (on a Tuesday with a 6:30 arrival) I had to struggle to get attention to get a refreshment to wait with, the staff seemed "lost" and the words were spoken ….."We are short staffed tonight". I went for good food and an evening on the river, not management 102 class. Get it together BoneFish Willys because there are many new restaurants looking to take your place on the best list. I was served with a check and not with a suggested dessert ideas at the end of the meal, not even a suggested "coffee". It may be forgivable once but some 6 years ago when the owner was away, nothing was right except the location. But I have continued going there at least for now.
Please don't fade into the history of good local dinning.
