Just dined here for the first time tonight. I had the oak grilled bacon wrapped filet stuffed wiith pesto sauce, and hubby had the filet with mushrooms in a wine reduction sauce. Entrees come with two side orders, which vary daily. Choices tonight were: zucchini and yellow squash, roasted red potatoes, French fries, or pasta salad. We just had double orders of the veggies and were very pleased with them. We also ordered a separate house salad ($2.95) which was also tasty. Two hot fresh garlic knots topped with fresh shaved parmesan cheese were brought to the table, and could have been wonderful ,but they were slightly burned. The high points of the meal were the filets which were done perfectly. were very tender, tasty, and were huge. In our experience, a steak of this type is much more expensive at most other restaurants in town. You could clearly taste the oak flavor which was great. Décor was also cute, and it was disappointing on a Saturday night to see how few people were here. We have seen three other restaurants go out of business here very quickly so the location seems jinxed; however, we are hoping this place will make a go of it and will go back soon to try another menu item, maybe a huge burger cooked over the oakfire grill!!!
