We live close to this restaurant and have been meaning to try it because our friends have all said that it is great. Well, we were glad we did, 'cause they were right! It is a small (inside and outside seating) family owned place that has only been open about 8 months, but they are already making a name for themselves and developing a following. I am glad, because you can tell that they really care about the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the place. They painted with bright colors and have quiet authentic music playing in the background. We started out with guacamole which was nice and the service was terrific. I tried the chicken with mole sauce and it surpassed anything I was expecting. Their mole has a rich deep texture with just a touch of sweetness to offset the smokey cocoa flavor. They gave me corn tortillas to wrap it in and it was wonderful. So good that my partner kept stealing my sauce to put on his enchilada. Next time he will be ordering the enchilada with mole sauce! He liked his tamale very much and the rice and beans were a nice compliment to the meal. We couldn't resist the homemade flan at the end, which was big enough for two people to split and we savored the creamy texture with the vanilla and cinammon flavors melting in our mouths. The prices are great and they even have mexican brunch on the weekends, Fri -Sun, with eggs benedict and egg burritos, etc. We will come back to try that for sure. I hear the lunch is very popular with the local businesses and the Friday night crowd was great. They even serve beer, wine & sangria.
It is fabulous to see the local businesses flourish and I hope it stays around a long time. From the way it has started I think it will. Good luck to you El Indio! We will tell everyone to stop in for a great meal!

We have eaten here a number of times since they opened fairly recently. The food has been very good. The service is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is non-pretensious and clean. I particularly like the meat dishes such as carne asada and chile verde. The burritos are large enough to split or take half home. For vegetarians, there is a large selection. The breakfast menu is American, but if you ask for typical Mexican breakfast dishes, they will cook them. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable for what you get. There is outdoor seating, but they are located on a main road and it can get noisy and hot outside. Be careful to specify the meat you want in the entrees where there might be a choice. Unlike some Mexican restaurants, they don't charge for salsa and chips.

We found this little jewel recently opened on Highway 192 (also know as New Haven Ave) near Babcock Street and downtown Melbourne. The first time we went we only tried the Quesdadillas with chicken. It is excellent, chicken is very moist not dry like most places and it was cooked perfectly. The 2nd time we had a couple different burrittos and these were very good too. Even the childs portion one was large. The only thing I have not liked so far was the Mexican Pizza but I got it to go so that may have contributed to the fact that is was a little greasy.
This restaurant also has American food and also serves breakfast which I have not had a chance to try yet.
The owners are very nice and they are also your servers. Its not a fancy place but is clean and food was good. There is indoor and outdoor dining. Prices are pretty decent too. I hope they do well as I am looking forward to returning.
