We love this hot dog spot and every time we are in Melbourne we make a point of getting there--have gone there for several years. What we love: the wonderful buns, lightly dusted with poppy seed, the great Vienna Beef Company hot dogs and the extremely creative toppings, accompaniments and preparations. You can get the old favorites like Chicago Style, Philly, and New York dogs but you can also get specialties like the Guac the Dog topped with guacamole, cheese, salsa and onions, the Great Greek with feta, tomato, onions, fried pickle, pepperoncini and tzatziki, or the Surf and Turf, a fried jumbo dog with popcorn shrimp. Today I had the Downtown Dog, one with crispy bacon, cheese, tomato and mayo--it's fun to get a different one every time. A great place with eat-in space and also a drive-through open daily though Sunday hours are only 11:30-4.
