Owner description: Experience nature on a whole new level at Brevard Zoo's new outdoor aerial adventure! Fun for all ages, test your skills on one of three courses enjoying varying degrees of challenges and, of course, zip lines. For thrill seekers, we recommend Treetop Challenge. For nature lovers, enjoy the Canopy Walk, and Chutes and Ladders is great for the kids. Open daily at 9 a.m. Zoo admission not required to experience Treetop Trek.

This is a great adventure to add to your trip. You need to be physically able, because even the less strenuous Canopy Walk that we chose demanded some exertion and upper-body strength. This will test your limits as you face obstacles high above the zoo and reward you with thrills and a sense of accomplishment as each obstacle is mastered. Unique perspective of the zoo and it's patrons. Staff was friendly and professional.

The Canopy Walk was a nice introductory course. It had the right amount of challenge courses, seeing some of the animals and some zip lining. Overall a good time and something to do while in Melbourne.

I just went with my 11 year old and we did the challenge trail. It took us 2 hours and we had a ton of fun. She can't wait to do it again. Some parts made me scream but it was so worth it.

“Be ready to get a work out!”

I've been to Florida many times, but first time at this attraction. Overall, very good. There are several different levels, so depending on your athletic abilities you should find something that works. There were people in their 50's+ that were ziplining.
Now - if you do the Black Diamond - be warned. This is a challenging course that incorporates more than just zip lining. It has several obstacles to complete and some of them really push your limits. I was definitely getting tired and sweating quite a bit during the course. Took about 2 1/2 hours to complete. I'm early 40's and in decent shape, but had to work hard at some of these. Kids are teenagers and had a blast. A little pricey, but a good experience.
Get there early to beat the crowd and also the heat, because it gets hot in Florida.
Afterwards, make sure you have a pool or go to the beach. You will want to cool off in the water!

“Challenging trek”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

Once we got past the front desk, this was a very enjoyable attraction. We took our grandson on a cruise. We had paperwork as his guardian during the cruise, but the front desk would not accept that. We had to call back to the parents and they sent a signed document that they downloaded from treetoptrek website,. Not sure how they knew that they were his legal guardians except they signed saying that. It was a bit frustrating.
Once on the course, all went well. Had a few holdups, but our 11 yr old grandson loved climbing and zipping. The grandfather survived it.
