We visited Squidlips on a Saturday afternoon. Several seating choices are possible in good weather with most seating having a great view of the Indian River. The view is the best asset of this downtown Eau Gallie/Melbourne eatery. We ordered a calamri appetizer and each had a sandwich from the luncheon menu. The calamari was heavily breaded and deep fried; the oil being less than fresh. My fish sandwich was so coated with breading that the fish was unrecognizable in the greasy mass that was the centerpiece of the sandwich. My partner's wrap was equally unappealing. It was not a pleasant visit, from the food perspective. It is a place that can be missed without penalty.
