Sebastian Inlet State Recreation Area

This is a nice park with a huge beach area and pier but as usual the powers to be decided to charge more fees to include an $8.00 entry per vehicle for two or more people.

The taxpayers fund this inlet but never is it enough for those who can find ways to make you pay even more. Our children grew up in the area and loved the tide pool. We visited often, spent money at the park for fishing and refreshments.

Since the implementation of entry fees a few years ago and then jacking the price up even more to the current $8.00 we just won't go anymore. There is a nice restaurant on the property.

This park is awesome, we have lived near it for the last 5 years and finally spent a few bucks and went and had a nice picnic lunch.

The fishing pier is very nice but omg so many people. Would be very hard to fish at times, lots of tangled lines lol.

We seen dolphins, manatees, other fish that I didn't know what they are lol.

Great place to take your family!

I have visited Sebastian Inlet many times through the years and each time is different than the last. That is because the power of the river when it meets the ocean is quite profound. If you visit you may see dolphins and manatees, and various types of birds nose-diving into the water to retrieve their next meal.

It's a place to camp (I have never done that), and for sightseers to go out onto a jetty and sometimes feel the spray from the crashing waves to cool you off on a hot day. People fish, swim, and simply stand near the water, or on the bridge, and take in the beauty of this place. I highly recommend a stop for anyone interested in nature.

We enjoyed pitching a tent there (no reservation required, thank you, Florida) swimming and walking around taking pictures of birds. We were warned in advance of the no-see-ums, which can crawl through the netting on your tent. Zipping up the windows of the tent worked fine - the little insects did not fly high enough to go through the netting at the ceiling of the tent (about 5' from the ground).

Went to one of their free concerts (you have to pay the park entrance fee though), and it was really beautiful there....it's on the south side of the inlet all the way at the end under a pavilion...the concerts are different every month and the last Sat. Really beautiful setting for a concert....:)
