“Nice trip”

Nice place for smaller kids. Water is not that deep till you are towards the center of the inlet. My 1 and 3 year old love it. We go about once a month in the spring and summer.

“try walking inland”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2012

Lots of birds, and we saw dolphins, if you walk inland towards the lagoon rather than just going to the beach

“Excellent, though Small State Park”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2012

This is the third time that I have visited Sebastian Inlet State Recreation Area. Each time was quite enjoyable, though the park was prettiest right before sunset, even though the sun sets over the river, not the ocean. Of course, if you want to do much at the park, then you should go well before sunset. You can walk along the beach here, though really, you can do that elsewhere for free. The main part of going to the park is simply to enjoy walking around, seeing the views from underneath the bridge, and looking for any wildlife. Wildlife is also plentiful in different areas of FL outside the parks, too. You can often see dolphins in the rivers along Merritt Island, FL, for instance, without paying park admission of $8 per car. Anyway, I would recommend the park for a picnic or a stroll.

“Great luncheon spot!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2012

Took friends here for a barbeque lunch. Took one of the picnic areas on the inlet. Watched fishing boats and birds. Nice bbque with picnic benches. Park is clean and lots of parking and bathroom facilities. $8 for entry.
