Owner description: Lovegrove Gallery & Gardens is the international headquarters for Florida artist, Leoma Lovegrove and one of the most colorful destinations in the sunshine state. The gallery showcases Lovegrove's original art and it is here where you can step into her techinicolor world of tropical artistic flair and experience the authentic island style life of an artist. Paint your own Florida souviner in her world famous botanical waterfront gardens (Paint and brushes included). Or paint your very own coconut postcard to keep or mail back home (no box needed- mails as is). You can also paint your own painting in the garden with the help of Vino's Picasso (Seasonal Nov-April). You can also enjoy homemade ( "Love Boat Ice Cream")ice-cream right out of a real coconut shell and guess what? You can keep the shell and take it back home to remind you of the happy memories you made while visiting one of Florida's most popular historic landmarks and destinations. Sunday's with Tucke, (Jim Tucke, the musical genius and Beatles historian) begin in December and her performs every Sunday through March. Hours for the live music is 2 pm - 5 pm. The event is FREE. Leoma's private studio and guest cottage is adjacet to the gallery so chances are you see Leoma busy painting a canvas or planting a flower or beating on her drum on the garden stage.

“Very unusual.”

Take a walk on the wild side. Very colorful artist. If you enjoy lots of splashes of color, Lovegrove Gallery and Gardens is for you! Like taking a psychedelic trip without drugs. The garden is truly a magical mystery tour. Leoma's interpretations of the Beatle's art and album covers are incredible! Bar none.

Make sure you double check the gallery for days and time it's open.

Items priced from inexpensive to $$$'s. Something everyone can afford.
Leoma has her art transferred to tee shirts available at Beall's stores, too!

“very cool gallery”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2013

Lovegrove's work is funky, happy & cool. Her pieces range in all sizes and prices so anyone can afford to take home a little work of art. I bought 2 mini's for $20 each! The town is very small, so there isn't a whole lot to do there but this gallery should go on the list of yes's. Even her staff was great!

“Matlacha / Fishing village with a Key West/Artist look!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2013

I purposely chose Matlacha,Fl. for a trip with a childhood friend. I look for artisan areas and galleries plus the Key West funky feel ! Not a large area but several blocks of brightly painted small shops that make you want to come inside! Some of the shops are more Expensive items but everything we saw was quality pieces, one of a kind work by real artisans and NOT flea market or tourist trap crap! Good coffee shop, "The Paper Cup" and other
places to grab a bite to eat. Off the highways, close to water makes for an enjoyable afternoon.
