We stayed for over a week in May 2013 to take advantage of the birding at Point Pelee, other local sites, venturing as far as Rondeau. We had a fabulous yet relaxed welcome, the accommodation being to a high standard. What made it special was the added attention to details, nothing was too much trouble. For example, if we wanted an early start for birding, we were able to do so, having had a delicious home-made breakfast first, especially the varying choice of muffins.
it was tucked away, which I thought was an advantage, but convenient too.
it was helpful having recommendations for local restaurants. If birding, remember to eat before 7pm as we were surprised that a lot of restaurants closed then, even during a birding festival and annual migration.
