“Awesome, as usual!”

We have been coming to the Eagles Nest for a long time and love it! It is truly our home away from home. Our kids love it too! The units are clean, nicely appointed and comfortable for families. Great having a washer/dryer too. The pool area is beautiful and the beach is magnificent. The staff is wonderful and do a great job with the kids. The resort amenities are perfect for our family...fitness center, tennis court, pool bar, business center, pool/spa, gas grills, activities, etc. A lot of the same people year to year, so it's been nice to make some friends too. We will be back again!!!

My husband and I traded a timeshare week to stay here. Felt like we were visiting an old relative who happened to be gone for the week. The furniture was dated, somewhat worn, and had a few stains. The unit smelled stale but was clean. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were OK. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath unit was on the second floor but still had a lovely view of the ocean and the gorgeous sunsets.
We did not participate in any of the activities or use the pool but did walk along the beach many times. We enjoy birding and nature photography and left early each day to explore the many wildlife preserves in the area. Tigertail Beach on Marco Island is a 10 minute drive and has many birds, including nesting ospreys, and a fabulous beach. Would be a great place for a family as there is a play area and a small snack bar. Parking is $8 for the day or $3 for two hours (take ones as the parking attendant is not always there and the machine does not give change).
We would probably stay here again just because of the great location. Wireless internet was supposedly available but the signal was very weak.

We traded a timeshare for a week at Eagles Nest. The place was very clean and quiet. We really wanted to relax and this place was great for that . The units could use some updating but it was still very well equipped and clean. The pool area was very nice and the beach just behind it. Lots of restaurants in the area and all very good. The staff people were pleasant and helpful. We would return again.

This is a timeshare, managed by Hilton. When the timeshare owners don't want their week(s) they can release them for rental. We rented a 2 bedroom suite condo for one full week (Friday to Friday) in the villas, overlooking the pool and the ocean. What a fantastic set up - porch/lanai off the living room overlooked the pool and out to the Gulf, huge master with ensuite, 2nd bedroom with bathroom across the hall, washer/dryer beside the bathroom. Kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to fix snacks and meals. Unit is spacious and comfortable. We ate out on the porch (four chairs around a glass table) whenever we weren't out at a restaurant. The views were Gorgeous, Gorgeous, Gorgeous! Just a quick walk down the stairs at the front (we were on the 2nd of 3 floors) to the pool and out the boardwalk to the beach. Plenty of chairs around the pool. Recommend renting beach chairs with an umbrella - the sun in May was very intense and hot and we really appreciated the umbrella and comfy chairs to enjoy the view and relax. The beach is very wide, beautiful and white. You can walk for miles up or down the beach. The ocean was warm and pleasant ... I've never spent so much time just hanging out in the water talking, enjoying, resting from the stresses of everyday life! We intend to go back in spring 2011 ... will likely go in April though so it's not quite so hot. Good parking - it was easy to come and go in the car when we needed groceries, or when we went out to eat or shop. Shopping is limited, but restaurant choices are plentiful and amazing. We really loved our stay at Eagles Nest on Marco Island.

We own a timeshare week at the Eagle's Nest, we haven't been there in a couple of years. We stayed for 5 nights last week and it was as good as ever! We love the staff, the facilities and the location is the best. The pool area is very comfortable and great for families, like being on your own private island. Many of the people who stay here return year after year so it makes the atmosphere very homey.

My wife and I stayed at Eagles Nest on Marco Island from September 18th to the 24th, having traded our Marriott Grande Vista Orlando Fl unit. Eagles Nest is managed by Hilton, although not owned by Hilton. Upon arrival check-in went very smoothly and the staff was friendly. Our Unit was number 806 and had an excellent view of the beach. To us the best feature of Eagles Nest is that it is a quick walk from the tower to the beach, which was very clean and huge. The water is kid friendly, with no big waves and the water get deeper quite gradually. On the beach in front of the resort are beach chairs and umbrellas. Two lounge chairs and an umbrella are $20/day or $100 for the week.

September is the off season on Marco, which we loved. No rush to get to the pool or beach to get a spot and there was never a wait to get into a restaurant for dinner. However, most of the stores closed early. Also, the grocery stores close by 9:00, which we are not used to.

We did feel that the building, the grounds and the units are a bit dated. For example, the furniture in our unit was banged up quite a bit and the wooden section of the pool deck was split and splintered. Wireless internet is offered, but we could not access it in the room. I was informed that the best reception would be in the lobby or the mezzanine. It was not just my computer, as most nights when I went to check email or go on-line there were always other guests doing the same thing. The mezzanine did have plenty of comfortable chairs.

There is no restaurant on site at Eagles Nest. Next door is a Marriott Hotel. We ate dinner there one night at the beachside café. The food was expensive and just ok, but the view of the sunset was great. We also walked over there a couple of times during our week to get a frozen strawberry daiquiri. Interestingly, Eagles Nest does not have a liquor license, so they cannot sell drinks. However, they are allowed to give drinks free. Several days there were drink specials by the pool, but it may not be a drink you like, and if so you were out of luck. They also offered lunch specials every day. We were in Naples two nights for dinner (30 minutes by car) and had dinner at Tommy Bahamas and Handsome Harry’s. Both places are on Third and Thirteenth Streets and both meals were very good.

One bit of confusion. We had a late flight on check out day, so we wanted to put our bags in our rental car and use the pool and facilities until it was time to go to the airport. The night before, I asked at the front desk about a locker room or shower facilities to use. I was told that we could use the showers by the pool, which are not private and there is no place to change, and the shower only runs for a second or two before shutting off. This did not seem correct to us, so the next day I asked someone different, and was told that there were facilities to use off of the exercise room and that they would give us clean towels to use when we were ready. Much better answer!

All in all we had a very nice, relaxing week at Eagles Nest and would return and recommend it to others. The value here is location!

We stayed here over a three day weekand in room 2107 which is a 2 bedroom villa that sleeps 6 adults. It has a screened in patio with view of pool area and ocean. Room has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths with a sleeper sofa. Room has 3 tvs and a nice kitchen. Pool area has 2 jacuzzi. Nice resort to come and just relax with friends or family. Awesome sunsets too..
