“Awesome condo in nice location”
Reviewed June 10, 2013 via mobile

We stayed here for two nights, the hotel is well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. The condo is very spacious and beautifully decorated. We travelled with 8 adults and everyone was comfortable. We were able to walk to restaurants and Starbucks, and there was a complementary beach shuttle. We would stay here again.

Hello, Thank you for the great feedback. We are happy to hear you had a good time with us. We are very fortunate to be in the location we are. Everything is so close but far enough away from traffic. Can’t wait to see you back again soon. Next time you will have to stay longer than two days.

We had a week in a fabulous apartment (201) with the biggest balcony ever! The furnishings and equipment within the apartment were great; everything we needed was present. The resort is on a very pretty waterway, where boats coming and going can be watched at leisure. There is a small pool however this area is in the shade until after 12:00hrs, the sunbeds are a good standard with comfy cushions. We foundvany staff we interacted with to be both friendly and couteous. Whilst there is no bar or restaurant on site, a 5 minute walk takes you to a small very scenic marina with various bars and restaurants, with plenty of atmosphere. We look forward to returning.

Hi There, Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. Room 201 in my opinion is the best! It is the only room we have with the larger balcony and is in very high demand. I am thrilled you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to your return visit.

We just got back from our week-long stay at Suset Cove, and while it was a nice hotel, we wouldn't stay there again. Let me start with the good parts: The condo we stayed in was beautifully decorated, fully stocked and spacious. Most of the staff members were very friendly and helpful. While the resort isn't located right on the beach, we didn't mind -- it sits right next to the water's edge by one of the island's canal-like waterways. Very, very pretty.

However, the resort seems to cater only to families with small children. Or people who go to bed by 9 p.m. on vacation. There's a free shuttle bus from the hotel to the beach, and while it was always quick and timely, the shuttle doesn't run past 4:30 p.m. Also, the outdoor pool/hottub and game room close by 10 p.m. -- and they're pretty strict about this. So if you're looking for fun things to do (like sit in the hottub for a little post-dinner relaxing or challenging siblings to a ping-pong game), either get everything in by 10 p.m. or stay at an actual resort that doesn't shut down completely after nightfall.

Room Tip: Get a room that's on a higher floor for the best view.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to complete a review of your recent stay with us. I am sorry for the limited hours. We are unable to keep the pool and hot tub open past sunset due to the lighting. The city does not permit us to keep that area open at night. I am truly sorry for not completely exceeding your expectations.

Just spent two nights at this amazing, specialised vacation resort. The complex houses really large, self contained condos that have just about everything. We were in a three bed, three bathroom unit on the fourth floor with a great view. Built seven years ago, Holiday Inn took over the complex just over a year ago and have done great things to it. It really has been the highlight of our trip. Units come with every conceivable complimentary accessory and we were told if you need more, staff will happily provide them to you. The reception staff were polite, helpful and friendly.
Our unit had two main bedrooms each with a large king bed, en-suite bathroom and cloakroom. The third bedroom was smaller with two single beds. A separate bathroom served the occupants of this bedroom. All rooms had flat screen tv's. There was a large fully equipped kitchenette, lounge area, washing machine and tumble drier. The protected, fly screened balcony had lovely views. The complex had a well equipped gym and large outside pool and jacuzzi.
An all round, perfect resort.

We spent a week at the Sunset Cove at Holiday Inn and had the most amazing week! The weather was amazing and the staff at the Cove could not have been anymore accommodating. Everything is within walking distance, and if you want to head to the beach they offer shuttles. I don't think you could ask for more. There is a game room for kids but not a place with activities so if you are looking for someone to entertain your kids you may want to look somewhere else. Dreamlander Tours is a great group that offers sightseeing, sunset tours and more! They are located in the back on the canal and are awesome. We plan to make this a yearly vacation. If you are looking for a get away to relax and enjoy the sunshine this is the place for you.

When you see the reviews and the rate we paid I was waiting for the old bate and switch. The hotel and room are better than described. Modern amenities extremely clean and neat facility. The pool area is great and the balcony wraps around the entire place with a screened in portion.

Hi, Thank you for your recent feedback about your stay with us. We are thrilled you had such a great time. The room you were in is one of our best for sure. It is the only one we have that has the wrap around porch off the lanai. We hope you will visit us again soon.

The units are mostly 3 bed rooms and 2 baths. Two of the bedrooms are master size and one faces the gulf direction. Space is around 1800 sq ft, very spacious. The living area is open plan. The kitchen is open to the dining area which adjoins the living room and screened porch. Table seats 6 or 8 easily and the living area about the same (but you will need to use a couple of the dining room chairs if you need that many seats. The deck is large...holds a table and chairs as well as a lounge. The building design has all decks open on two sides. Flat screen tv's and appropriate kitchenware. Floors 6 and 7 have great sunset views over the water.

Even though the units are about 7 years old, all the units have undergone a major refurbishment. Kitchens are stainless steel and the counter tops granite. New hard surface floors in the dining and living room replacing rugs as well as new furniture. New furniture and rugs in bedrooms. Bathrooms are spacious and have all the amenities...master is very high end. All in all, a very high end look.

The reason this resort is not a total ten is that the property is NOT within walking distance of the beach. If you drive, two beaches are only a few minutes away and they both have good parking. The closest beach is Tiger Beach which is especially good for kids with a play area and a protected lagoon beach. Marco beaches are 'shelly' and not everyone likes but ok for us. The county south beach is nice since the walk to the water is a lot less and there is an adjoining beach front bar and restaurant. If you don't have a car, the resort will transport you to / from the beach.

The property has a nice pool and hot tub overlooking an interior waterway. It has docking facilities for small boats. Lots of pool lounge equipment, a couple of bbq's and some nice covered areas. Everything seems to work. Some covered parking is available. Bikes and beach chairs are available.

The staff is friendly, helpful and competent. With only 36 units, don't expect a full service concierge. Best to do your own research on the internet before coming. They will offer advice and help but it is limited.

Next to the resort is a public park which has a very nice weekly farmers market. On the other side of the resort is a WinnDixie supermarket. It is really nice to be able to walk next door to stock up on groceries, beer, wine, etc. On the other side of the WinnDixie is a high end waterfront plaza with nice restaurants, Starbucks and some shops. In the other direction, just past the park is the major shopping area of Marco (an easy walk)...Dunkin Donuts, Publix, Restaurants and shops. Other Island attractions will require a car.

The resort is suitable for all ages although it seems to be an older crowd in prime time.

I've stayed in this resort three times in the last year, one of the times for two weeks.

We like this resort a lot.

Room Tip: Units on 6th and 7th floors have great sunset views! End units x01, x06 have extra space.
