“really good mexican food”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

Always like this place. Food is fresh, good and portions are big. All the kids raved over the black beans. First time here since its been remodeled whenever that was! Hubby liked his tuna tacos that were the special. Others liked their beef tacos, veggie burrito and chicken clinicians. Good value for the money. Has nice outdoor seating in a courtyard with dolphin fountain.

“Mark this off the island”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

Let me just say this restaurant deserves a chance at the show restaurant impossible, because the food and service are awful. The only reason I believe that this restaurant is still in business is due to it's convenient location. This is how we were trapped into thinking that this spot would be at least decent. I arrived with my family on a Tuesday night, it was slow and there were only two or three more families in the restaurant. We were finally greeted after about 10 min, from a waitress who appeared to have other things to do, and a major attitude. Against our better judgement we stayed, and reluctantly asked her if she had any recommendations from the menu. She replied in a dazed glare, and stated "Just look at the picture of the little pepper man, his picture is next to all of the restaurants favorites". Okay REALLY!! Needless to say we paid $1.99 for stale chips and nasty salsa that would have been free at any other mexican restaurant. My daughters wet burrito was nothing more than overflowing nasty cheez wiz with some type of mystery meat, that could not be washed down with the uncarbonated, diluted soda that was served. I ordered tacos with rice and beans which had no taste. My husbands quesidilla was greasy and bland as well. Overall we could have had a better experience at Taco Bell, certainly not worth the 60.00 that we dished out for this crap. I actually complained to the waitress personally attempted to coach her on her attitude and informed her that her attitude and service was unacceptable. She replied by telling me that she was sorry, and that she was sick with an upset stomach. Well that's just great considering the fact that she had been handling my families food. The manager only half way apologized, and offered a free dessert. No thanks buddy, I didn't want anything else from this kitchen. I am telling you do not go to Nacho Mama, this place is a JOKE!!!

“Florida Tex Mex is different!”
Reviewed August 7, 2013

The service was awesome and the Nachos were excellent. The entrees were different then what we expected; we're from Colorado and Tex Mex here is very saucy. Tamales were dry served on top of a pico and my son's burrito was a dry wrap of cheese and beef, but tasty. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. Prices were reasonable.

“Best Mexican Food on Island”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

My wife and I went there for happy hour and ended us staying for drinks. It was the best Mexican food I have had in a while, let alone the best Mexican food on the island. Highly recommend visiting.
