Description: Tucked away in the northern most point of Old Marco is Cafe de Marco. An intimate bistro/cafe serving the most diverse selection of fresh seafood & other continental specialties since 1983. A favorite amongst locals & seasonal return visitors to Marco Island. Reservations are greatly appreciated. Olde Florida atmosphere in the historic district of Olde Marco. Perfect for an outstanding meal, business, or special occasion. Vast wine selection and beer available. Twilight specials and children's menu available. Owned and operated by same owner & family since starting out in 1983. Our building enjoys a rich piece of Marco history. The Cafe's building was the original quarters for the chamber maids employed by the historic Old Marco Inn just a few yards away. Many years ago the Inn functioned as a "bed & breakfast", and the maids would simply walk to work from our building. This explains the answer to a frequently asked question..."Was this an old house at one time?" Today, step inside to what has been transformed into an islander's tradition for over 30 years. We look forward to serving you soon! ~Sandy Franchino, Owner

The service, food and atmosphere were outstanding - superb. Rivaling most of zagat's highly rated NYC restaurants that we've dined at.

Begging with our most gracious hostess Cathy, who literally made us feel at home in a matter of minutes, and our wonderful waitress Maria as well as all the rest the staff that were so attentive to our needs in an effort to, and then absolutly succeeding in, making our 40th wedding anniversary dinner as special and memorable as they possibly could without receiving prior notice from us.

The Lobster bisque followed by the King of the Sea, which was an 11oz. Stuffed Lobster Tail dinner that both Barb & I had was probably the best we've ever eaten anywhere. Kudos to the Chef and many thanks to the Proprietor Sandy Franchino for maintaing such a fine dining establishment.

Whenever we return to Marco Island, Cafe de Marco will surely be our first choice dining location!

My husband and I went to Marco Island to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary this past week and had dinner at Cafe de Marco on our last night there. The service was fantastic. Our waitress, Maria, as well as the entire staff, was friendly and went above and beyond what we had expected. The food was absolutely delicious, the lobster soup is a must! While it wasn't a total budget buster, it was the priciest meal we had on our trip but was worth every penny. The atmosphere was quaint yet causal. We will definitely make it a stop on our next trip. Thank you for a memorable meal!

Food was good but nothing special. Large portions. Lots of butter and cream. Nothing was cooked poorly but nothing stood out either. Expensive. Nice atmosphere and attentive servers. Wine list is nothing special. Would go to verdi's instead.

We were told by our resort that this was the best seafood place on the island and they did not disappoint!! You must have the lobster bisque!!!! The staff was extremely attentive and took great care of us. The portions are very substantional so bring an appetite. We also had the Snapper almondie.
