Description: Tucked away in the northern most point of Old Marco is Cafe de Marco. An intimate bistro/cafe serving the most diverse selection of fresh seafood & other continental specialties since 1983. A favorite amongst locals & seasonal return visitors to Marco Island. Reservations are greatly appreciated. Olde Florida atmosphere in the historic district of Olde Marco. Perfect for an outstanding meal, business, or special occasion. Vast wine selection and beer available. Twilight specials and children's menu available. Owned and operated by same owner & family since starting out in 1983. Our building enjoys a rich piece of Marco history. The Cafe's building was the original quarters for the chamber maids employed by the historic Old Marco Inn just a few yards away. Many years ago the Inn functioned as a "bed & breakfast", and the maids would simply walk to work from our building. This explains the answer to a frequently asked question..."Was this an old house at one time?" Today, step inside to what has been transformed into an islander's tradition for over 30 years. We look forward to serving you soon! ~Sandy Franchino, Owner

“Decent Food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2012

Food was good but nothing special. Large portions. Lots of butter and cream. Nothing was cooked poorly but nothing stood out either. Expensive. Nice atmosphere and attentive servers. Wine list is nothing special. Would go to verdi's instead.

Food and service was excellent. Lobster bisque was to die for as was the key kime pie. But atmoshere was dated and prices were extrmely high for the main courses.

“Very nice”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2012

As others have mentioned not much to look at from the outside but its whats inside that counts. A little dark and it took a moment for our eyes to adjust but we were not disappointed .Very cosy and attentive staff, the food was amazing and they catered for my wife who has to have glutten free.
Would highly recommend, do book before.

“Olde Marco Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2012

One of two outstanding restaurants in the Olde Marco area of Marco Island, Cafe de Marco serves excellent food in a charming atmosphere. Proprietor Sandy Franchino has run the restaurant for over 25 years, and the quality of the food has been consistently excellent all those years. If you are in the mood for seafood particularly (although there are many other fine items on the menu) this is the place for you! Great service, a reasonable wine list and decent prices highlight this fine restaurant.
