Nice way to avoid the long drive to Key west. Our favorite part of the trip was the boat ride. We are Canadians so we sat on the open top level both ways. It was quite breezy, traveling at 30 knots. So you'll need to dress accordingly ie. pants and a heavy jacket. First time for us being surrounded by water with no land in sight. We took the Conch Train Tour for an hour. It was hard to get decent photos because it didn't stop long enough but our tour guide was enthusiastic and knowledgable. We had planned to walk some of the route to get more photos but it was too hot to go too far. Mostly bars, restaurants and souvenir shops on the strip. We were pretty tired by the time we had to head back to the boat as it was a long day. We arrived at Rose marina about 7:15am and arrived back about 8pm. Most of the passengers were elderly so check in took a while. There is no separate line for customers who purchased tickets online...everyone in the same lineup.
