“So great, we went back the next day!”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

My family of four, mom, dad and 2 teenagers, were in Marco Island for the first time ever at Christmas break. The first full day there we did the 3 hour kayaking tour with Josh our guide. Having never kayaked before, and totally out of shape, I was nervous but it was absolutely wonderful. When we got back, we immediately made plans to go out the next day for the 3 hr waverunner tour around the island. This was even better! Josh was again our guide...he's very knowledgeable and friendly. I think this is the only tour that takes you all the way around the island. You go slowly on paths thru the mangroves to watch for wildlife but then also get to fly across open water and race the dolphins. Since they keep the number of participants very small, they are able to really take the time to stop and let you hang out with the dolphins who are going around and under your waverunner while you sit there. We were also lucky enough to have 2 manatees poke their head up right near us.

Our kids are at the age where sometimes taking vacations with your parents is not their idea of fun, but Dreamlander Tours absolutely made this a great family vacation.

Net: If you want personal attention, a lot of fun, education about the island and environment, and a way for all family members to get the most out of your vacation, definitely try Dreamlanders!

“Great Day on the water”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

My children and I took the boat tour and came back for a try at jet skiing. We had a blast with both. I have never in my life seen as many dolphins as we did on our boat tour. I have taken at least 3 other tours and this one topped them all. We had at least 6 dolphins jumping around us for 30 minutes or longer.
My son felt the need for speed and had an amazing time with Steve on the jet ski. My daughter was a little more apprehensive and Steve was a wonderful coach, and did a great job of teaching her the ropes. We will definately be back.

“No integrity - got a boat taxi instead of a Dolphin Tour :(”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

Lame...Beware that you get the service you requested! We ordered the Dolphin and Friends Ecotour as the crown jewel of our family vacation...we imagined it would take us deep into the heart of the 10,000 islands. Instead we got a service we hadn't ordered.

The night before, Steve called to see if we could switch our tour to the following day so he could accomodate another family- we couldn't. He called back and offered to extend our beach time by half an hour if we arrived a half hour earlier. We agreed. Unfortunately, the 'tour' ended up being a 20 min ride to be dumped at an 'island' within sight of Marco - we were stuck there for 3 hours. We made the best of it but mentioned to our guide that we were supposed to be on the Dolphin tour. He thought we were on the Boat Taxi tour and when asked, described the Dolphin tour in more detail...definitely not what we got. Instead of being on the boat 2.5 hours with a stop at the beach, we were in the boat 20 min - on the beach three hours, and back to shore in 20 minutes. We were nowhere near the heart of the 10,000 islands - condos were in sight the entire time. When brought to Steve's attention, he apologized and offered to give us half off - I thought this was nice until reviewing his marketing materials when we got home. Turns out the Taxi tour costs half the Dolphin tour!!!!!!

I suspect he was trying to fit in the other group and screwed us to do so. They obviously have no integrity - use at your own risk.

“Best Fishing/Boat Tour we ever took”
Reviewed December 22, 2012

We booked a fishing trip with Capt. Steve and first mate Josh and got a mini eco tour in the bargain. They like to keep their groups small which makes for a personal and exclusive experience. Well worth the price! Highly, highly recommend Dreamlander Tours.

“Fun with the dolphins”
Reviewed December 19, 2012

We did the tour December 17, 2012 and had an absolutely great time. Our group was made up of adults, teens and kids and everyone had an amazing time. Josh, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We encountered pods of dolphins in two different locations and Josh was able to get real close as they fished and played around the boat. Amazing experience for everyone. I would recommend this tour to everyone visiting Marco Island and I'll do this tour again the next time we are in Marco Island.

We also got to see a not so smart boater beach there boat on a sand bar. Very funny.
