“Amazing location and views”
Reviewed November 5, 2013 via mobile

Well worth the money. Great view of Tigertail and the Gulf. Awesome sunset views. Easy access to beach and lagoon. Swimming pool made for great alternative to beach. Condos are quiet and all have walkout balconies. Spent hours on balcony enjoying views. Covered parking which was great during rainy season. Only downfalls were condos not updated and elevators were in and out of service.

This was our first trip to Marco. The island was beautiful and even though it was about an 8 to 10 minute walk from the condo to the ocean, we would stay here again. Note that the kitchen felt like it was about 5'x8' ...tiny but usable. Doubt you can find a better deal on a white sand beach than Marco.

We stayed in tower 4 on the 14th floor. We had a beautiful ocean view from our wrap around balcony. Laundry is not in room, and you need to purchase a card to use for payment. Some are saying there are too many rules, and it is too far from the beach? There are a lot of rules, but none of them got in the way of us having an awesome vacation on the beach. We brought our 3 teenage children, and they really enjoyed the condo, pool, and beach. Their only complaint was that the pool closes at dusk. As far as the walk to the beach, so what. What's a 1/4 mile walk. Granted it could be a bit much for a debilitated person, but we were walking miles every day anyway. The 4th of July party on the beach was awesome! I would definitely stay here again.

South Seas Tower 3 – unit 306
This corner unit full of windows is beautifully decorated with awesome views of the beach and Gulf. The unit is completely updated with a gorgeous, well stocked kitchen. We had everything needed for cooking several meals in the unit. The two bathrooms are also beautifully updated and the linen closet completely stocked with linens and towels (both bath and beach towels). The furniture is also brand new (newer than the pictures here). Best to watch the virtual tour to get a better of idea how nice the place is really decorated. (http://www.visualtour.com/applets/flashviewer2/viewer.asp?t=2401167&sk=42&dm=c21marcorentals.com ). I loved the window treatments so much; I am going to try to get them in my own home!
The unit is also very conveniently located to Publix and Winn Dixie grocery stores along with restaurants/shopping. It is very convenient to CENTURY 21 where you pick-up the keys to the condo. Century 21 is on the main street you must drive on, coming onto the island and right down the street from the condo building. The people working in CENTURY 21 were so nice and helpful! It was a very pleasant experience which took less than 5 minutes. The tower 3 building is also where you check in to the condo property to get your parking pass. It was another very enjoyable experience with the workers at the check-in desk. They were very pleasant and kind.
The unit is in a perfect location for getting to the beach or pool. It is just a few doors away to the entrance to elevators. One other plus with this unit is that the front door of condo opens to a covered outdoor walkway instead of an interior hallway where you may or may not like to smell what everyone else is cooking! I preferred the fresh sea air. The beaches here are so beautiful. My children spent hours on the beach swimming and digging. There are lots of sea critters for the kids to catch (little fish, shrimps, crabs, clams). The kids were in their glory once I bought them little nets at the Winn Dixie. They couldn’t get enough!!
It is also a really cool place (balconies just above the palm trees) to watch a storm if you happen to be there for one. We arrived in Marco Island the same day as the first named Tropical Storm in 2013, Andrea. We loved watching and hearing the palms swaying as they blew in the storm.
There is only one con to this great place and that is that you eventually have to leave it! I would highly recommend this unit to those traveling with family or friends and surely a romantic spot for couples!

We stayed the past week and could not have been happier. Condo in tower 3 was great. Kind of like Fort Knox if you read the other reviews, but I felt very safe. Pretty many at the pool at different times. I thought the rules were good. People kept their kids under control and did not let them run wild. A few teen boys were getting a little wild and the parents just had to remind them to be respectful of others. Couple other kids brought food right to the pool and were told by the grandma, if they wanted to eat they should sit by the table. Who wants to swim with chips floating in the pool? At all times there were noodle floats in the pool and no one ever complained. As far as playing on the grass, why would you want to? Have you ever walked on Florida grass? It is not soft grass and is very sharp. I did address some of the other reviews because of the complaining. My personal opinion, it is a very nice place. The beach is very wide and very clean. Lots of shells, must where something on your feet. That would be my only complaint. As far as the condo you rent, that is all individual depending on which one you rent. Could be great or not so great, you take that chance every time you go on vacation.

I was in tower two on the second floor a few times over the past five years and couldn't recommend it more highly! The unit was 2BR/2Bath overlooking the pool, The beach and Gulf was just to the right off of the veranda, allowing fantastic views of the sunrise and sunsets. Many great restaurants are within two or three short blocks allowing one to either drive the short distance or stroll leisurely over. I disagree with other reviews re the octogenarian population. A wide mix of folks were staying at Towers 1 and 2 (I don't have any experience with Towers 3 and 4) and all of them were friendly and helpful. Rules, yes ... it's nice to know that people can't wander in to the pool from off the street, or hide in the main floor halls and pool restroom. Washers and dryers are available - and yes, you have to purchase a card to use them, but they are clean and in working order. The units have hurricane blinds and comfortable lobbies furnished with sofas, chairs and conversation corners. Bookshelves are stocked with both older novels and current reading left behind by tennants. There is a security guard booth to the properties and very adequate parking, both underground and off the main level. Our unit was comfortably furnished, very clean and had a fully stocked kitchen(ette), cable TV and a handy list of services in the area. These condos are owned by individuals who rent them out for our comfort and pleasure at reasonable, affordable prices - I'm sure that they would appreciate that renters treat the furniture and furnishings with respect ... it's not a hotel, after all. Loved it, loved it, loved it.

We recently stayed at South Seas for Spring Break. The location is outstanding. It is directly on the beach which is beautiful and huge! This property does not like children. I read the reviews before on TA and knew that but it was disappointing. It had tons of rentals this week due to Spring Break. They have a maintenance man who yells at kids at the pool for playing. If you can get over that, (we just ended up on the beach) the location can't be beat. It is quiet, clean and reasonably priced. Considering the Marco Marriott is nearby which is extremely crowded and ridiculously crowded. We stayed in Building 3, #607....it was very basic for our family of 6. We rented from Coldwell Banker for $1700/wk. Rooms at Marriott were $550/nt. So a good deal.

We visited The Brewery the first day of vacation which is in a strip mall. Great for watching basketball games since is was NCAA tourney time. The food was OK. Nacho Mommas was in another area with a few restaurants. The service was extremely long but they made good by us by taking half off the bill. Again, it was spring break so it was busy everywhere. We also went to Rookies in the same mall which had yummy burgers. Another great bar with TVs to watch sports. One restaurant very close to us which we went 3x was Joey's. Everytime we went it was delicious...from pizza to burgers to pasta..all great! We went to Little Bar in Goodland. Not very far from us but worth the drive. It was on the water with a screened in porch. Delicious food. We also visited one restaurant in Naples called Kelly's. Also, on the water and a place that has been there forever and worth the wait. Awesome stone crab claws, steaks and fish. There are several restaurants at the Marriott but all crowded and expensive. My daughter had a $15 burger there twice. I refused to bring our family of 6 there. Their location can't be beat but not worth the expense for big family.

We did make a walk very close to Tigertail beach and rented kayaks and had a great time. It was very relaxing and fun. We did tons of walking and running on the beach because it is beautiful. My boys played baseball with my husband since there was so much room!

Overall, we would go back...my husband wanted a nicer condo but the kids all had a great time and there was something for everyone.
