My husband and I stayed here after a long 7 day honeymoon cruise simply because we wanted to wind down. This hotel was the best choice that we made! We had a view from our room of one of the pool areas and the ocean, which was simply spectacular. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The grounds were kept well and made for good sight seeing. This hotel allowed for plenty of honeymooning time along with a great ambiance. We also spent a day at the spa which was wonderful!

we arrived on marco island dec. 27 and had originally checked into a different hotel. this 1st choice was based solely on $$ and very few negative reviews on tripadvisor. when we drove down COLLIER BLVD.....you have to pass the MARRIOTT and when we did we were hit by how beautiful it was...but alas we were headed somewhere else.

we checked in to to the other hotel which was nice, the staff was friendly and we had a jr. suite with a partial gulf view. the problem is.....the room and hallway had a mildewy smell. now for me....it wasn't so obvious but my husband has an allergy and sensitivity to mold and by the next morning had a bad reaction.

we walked down to the marriott and the inside is just as stunning as the outside. we inquired about availability and cost and while the price was $$$ we were given a $100 per night credit towards anything (food) in the hotel. well after doing some mental math... the price difference was negligable but you cannot compare these properties....it's like apples and watermelons!!!!

my husband and i are extensive travelers who have gone on many cruises...and usually stay at RITZ OR ROSEWOOD properties but due to the economy were forced to choose based on $$......ultimately a mistake. the hotel is immaculate and literally sparkles. the staff could not have been nicer especially the front desk staff. they have a woman named SERIFE and a man named LEO who bent over backwards to get us settled.

the property itself is indescribable.....there are 2 pools. one is for adults only and the other is for families. the beach is a great expanse of white shell strew sand and don't get me started on the sunsets.....magnificent. we ate every morning at the breakfast buffet which rivals any breakfast buffet i've seen anywhere. there are numerous shops on the premises and everyone is extremely helpful.

while this was not our 1st choice sometimes mishaps (like mildew) become a very nice unintended consequence. will we be back? ABSOLUTELY

a few tips........down collier a bit is a center with many restaurants and a movie theater. down collier the other way is a place called THE ESPLANADE....it is a marina with condos, restaurants and shops. this is a very nice place to spend some time.

Beautiful beaches, wonderful accomodations, excellent service, superb location. What more could you ask for? Well, good food would be nice. The one and only drawback for this resort is the lackluster food - there's plenty of it, but just not the quality that we would like. Are we food snobs - well, maybe. :-) Nonetheless, this resort gets an A+ in every category excpet cuisine. Return? Absolutely.

My husband and I travelled there this month. The hotel is in a great location, with some restaurants within walking distance. The pools were well maintained, and the property itself was very nice. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the room service equally good. The rooms themselves were large and well decorated, but the maid service was inconsistent. Overall a nice peaceful getaway.

My wife and I have traveled the world and this place is our new favorite vacation spot.
The whole resort was just renovated and they did it right. Rooms are oversized. Service is amazing. You can tell their employees enjoy their job. They can't do enough for you.
The wide beach is unlike any other we've seen in Florida. Very cool "Cheeky Huts" line the beachfront. One of the best beachfront restaurants "Quinns" is the place to eat, drink and listen to Reggae. Koral's Sushi Bar is incredible. Keep your drinks cold at the bar with a section of the bar that is covered in man made snow!
They have a huge aquariam that is inhabited with Hawaiin moon jellyfish.
Kurrents has the best seafood we've ever tasted . Try the Hawaiin Sea Bass. You really never have to leave the resort. I golfed at their golf course while my wife had a spa treatment. The course is challenging for the average golfer. I'm a 15 handicap and had trouble breaking 100. Played from the back tees. Won't make that mistake again. Play the member tees. (White) Saw 2 gators and a bald eagle.
My wife raved about the spa. Ask about early morning or evening specials. They change from time to time. Finally, rent a cabana on the pool deck. They have plasma TVs and you have the most relaxing pool experience you can ask for.

This was my second trip to the Marco Island Marriott for Thanksgiving weekend and it sure didn't disappoint. I am a Marriott Honored Guest member and used some points for 2 free nights. I used some extra points for an upgrade as well.

I wasn't sure what kind of room to expect...using the points and all. Was I shocked to find that the wonderful front desk clerk upgraded me to a Penthouse Terrace Suite!!! It's located on the top floor of the tower (11th floor) and even the hallway is upgraded...with rich wood and decor.

The suite has a doorbell! And it's actually a 800 square foot one bedroom suite with 1 full master bath and a second 'powder room'. The terrace was HUGE! It overlooked the ocean and had a table with 4 chairs and 2 lounge chairs to lay in the sun. A large Flat Screen LG TV was in each room as well...along with a pull-out sofa bed.

Not only did the master bathroom have a shower...but it has a first class spa..it was HUGE!

The service was spot on too. When we called for extra pillows...they arrived in 5 minutes and then even called to follow up to see if we received them and if there was anything else we needed. GREAT.

The restaurants are a little pricey...but most ocean-front resorts are. The Thanksgiving Buffet was good...but not really worth the $50 price tag. The pizza restaurant on property is a great deal. Tasty fresh pizza with a 15% discount for hotel guests.

I love this hotel and cannot recommend it enough.

I am not a complainer- in fact, I hate it when people can't find the good in things, but....The best two things about this resort is the beautiful beach and the cleanliness. Apart from that, there is nothing at this resort to go back for. We had to get our own drinks every day at the pool, the food was below average and overpriced, the female staff in particular were rude and annoyed if you requested anything, we had the wrong orders brought to us on multiple occasions at the restaurants, and we were constantly correcting our bills at the restaurants and with the hotel secondary to mistakes. On the other hand, the room was very clean with a comfortable bed, but I had to call secondary to the dribbling water pressure in the shower as well as replace missing shower hooks, and the toilet paper holder was falling off the wall as well! I do NOT recommend going here if you expect great service and a well-run resort that pays attention to details.
