We were down for 4 days for a wedding in Marco Island. We rented a car from the airport through Hertz and dropped it off at the Hertz location in the Marriot which was very convenient.

The actual hotel property was quite nice! You actually feel as if you are on a Caribbean island. They have beachy music playing for most of the day, the pool (main) was great. There were plenty of lounge chairs and the staff was super friendly. There is more than enough beach chairs as well but the water was so warm, we mainly stayed at the pool area.

Our room was great. We had a great view of the ocean as well as the pool. The room was pretty spacious.

We ate at Kurrents which was fantastic…everything was just delicious. We had lunch at Owen’s a few times and that was also very good. Tropiks for breakfast was also very good! The coffee shop is also very good for a quick bite to eat. Prices are a bit high but that’s what you get at hotel restaurants.

The wedding was on the property (on the beach for the ceremony). It was absolutely beautiful. The sunset on the beach was perfect.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Marco Island or the Gulf Coast!

Location, food, the pools, the service, the rooms....all excellent. Not my normal review but really enjoyed this location for a good family vacation. Lots of people so not for those looking for peace and quiet or romantic getaway. Marco is unique and wonderful sunsets.

We did a family road trip from Houston, Texas to stay in this property for one week. In total, our stay was outstanding. The staff at the hotel was really great - which is something that I've never said about a hotel staff before. The property is on a fantastic beach the pools are great. I could blabber on indefinitely about how great our vacation was, but I'll just summarize by saying it might have been one of the one-in-a-lifetime experiences. We did all of the activities that were available right at the hotel including sailing/shelling tour, jetski island eco-tour and para-sailing. All were over-the-top fun. Also, the thatch-topped huts in the beach are a super great value at $35/day. While it is true that some of the food prices are expensive at the hotel restaurants, I also found the portions large and the quality top notch. I wish it would have been possible for us to stay another week at this porperty. What a blessing this vacation was to our family. Everyone from Granny to Junior had a really great time.

My mom and I stayed here one night for a weekend girl's trip. It was the perfect drive from Deerfield, it was close but far enough away that we felt like we went somewhere. I am a Marriott Rewards member so I believe that I hold the properties to a higher standard and they didn't fail. The rooms are spacious, the view of the Gulf of Mexico was perfect, and the property in general was very nice. All staff we encountered were very pleasant especially the bartender who made me a special blackberry lemonade drink that was delicious. The bed was comfortable and the hotel itself was very quiet. I will definitely need to plan a return trip to this wonderful hotel.

The hotel itself is very nice. Beautiful accomodations, the room was very clean and the common areas are well maintained. It is right by the beach so that's definitely a plus.

I think the only negative aspect of my stay here was the service. The night shift people are TERRIBLE! We checked in really late and the gentlemen at the front desk wasn't very nice and gave us an accessible room without asking us if that was ok with us, so we had to go back to the desk to switch rooms. Not only that, but don't even try calling the "At your service" line late at night because lady who answers the phone is VERY rude. I don't care if you have to work the night shift, I deserve to be treated nicely and she did anything but that. Another downside to our stay was the fee they charge to go to the sauna, $30 is way too much when other hotels let guests use their sauna/steam room for free. On the other hand, the gentlemen serving at the beach was extremely nice and took care of us throughout the day with our food & beverage requests!

Other than that, our stay was awesome. Beautiful property with excellent amenities!

My family just returned from a 5 night stay at the Marco Island Marriott. This is the 3rd year we have visited the resort. With 3 children ages, 6yr, 4yr and 4 months, we needed a little more space this year. We worked with "Christine from Kentucky" in the reservations department to help us find a room that met our needs. Consequently we reserved a Lanai Suite with a request to be on the ground floor. The Lanai Suites are only on the ground floor or one level up, on the Southern end of the resort. In summary the Lanai Suite made for a perfect vacation. They are newly renovated and everything about them is top of the line. I have the privilege to stay at some luxury resorts on occasion, and these Suites are on par with a Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons.

With kids, being on the ground floor allowed direct access to the beach, pools and restaurants without stairs or elevators. Every need was met by the resort and the staff and as result we only left the resort one time during our entire stay (dinner at a local Mexican restaurant – Margaritas (very good)). Every other night we elected to order from Quinn’s or 400 Pazzis and eat on the Lanai while watching the palm trees and the ocean activities.

As you can imagine with 3 kids, including 1 baby, we had an unusually large amount of gear. The bellmen we great. We also rented some baby stuff (exersaucer, kick gym, baby bath tub) from a local location, Tiny Tikes Treasures. They deliver to the concierge at the hotel and pick it up when done. Very nice service.

Of course the resort was fabulous, including the landscaping and pool areas. The beach was well maintained and the water was calm.

Yes we rented umbrellas, paid for the valet and purchased too many $10.95 drinks, but at the end of the day it is vacation and it was worth it.

Will return next year, if not sooner.

Pros:
Atmosphere, the rooms, the pools, the beach and the excursions.

Cons:
$10.95 for any cocktail? Please! Slow(ish) service poolside. Terrible prices, service and food in the restaurants, but go out - there are PLENTY of great places on the island. Surprise fee for parking (pretty steep).

Definitely will go back, armed with a little knowledge. Fantastic atmosphere, and is GREAT for kids!
