Marco Island is beautiful and this resort keeps it that way. Every single staff member cares that your visit is top notch. Restaurants and shops, along with the pools, make a day on the property filled with something to do all day. There's a restaurant near one of the pools and a pool bar at the other. The beach is kept so clean and felt very safe. Lots of shells this visit! Shops in the hotel offer high end items, but the atmosphere is inviting. Our room was clean and every room has a balcony. Fantastic! We checked in early, so the only room cleaned and ready faced the parking lot, but we were thrilled to see that once we stepped out onto the balcony, we could see the beach! (The front desk offered at check in that they could move us if we didn't care for the view!) Saying that, I would think that each room must have a good view of something! The landscaping on the property is flawless and done before people begin their day. Only reason for my 4 stars is that the room's furniture seemed dated. The lobby and common areas are very nice. Stores, restaurants, and even movies are only a short walk away.

Room Tip: Room above ours was noisy. Scrapping as in moving things around, and opening and shutting their balcony door. So maybe a floor higher than 4?

We love this resort. We have stayed here several times. Location and amenities can't be beat! However, during our week long stay in March 2014, THREE Victoria Secret bras, an albuterol (asthma) inhaler and a fashion sweatshirt were stolen from our room! Bizarre but sadly true. Make sure you LOCK UP your medication and your lingerie!!

We've stayed at this hotel multiple times and enjoyed it every time. It's a full service resort with 2 great pools and a beautiful beach. You feel like your at the carribean, but still in the US. We were there at a very busy time, right before Easter and the hotel was at full capacity. Getting up early to get our chairs by the pool is a pain, but we're used to it. I love how they Mark the towels and if your not back in an hour, during peak season, they will give your seats away. This is how it should be. They brought around cold towels and cold OJ and water. The wait staff from Quinn's was fabulous. Nothing like eating on your pool chair!
The beach is beautiful! Plenty of room for chairs. Umbrellas are steep- $25 per day, but a necessity for us as the sun is so strong. The water is a beautiful color and the sand is white with many shells. Water shoes are best for little ones or anyone with sensitive feet. The water is calm and warm so no worries about jumping waves.
Tons of great local restaurants are just a short drive or longer walk away. The hotel food was good, but we wanted to go out at night to some of our favorites.
The only compliant we have is the maid service was so so. Not enough shampoo after multiple requests and her attitude was unappreciated. I also wish they would in lied free wifi in the rooms. At this point, it should be a standard. Especially because our room rate was peak at $575!
We will go back though because we love it and 99% of the staff are wonderful!!

The Marco Island Marriott Resort was an excellent place to take my wife and two young sons (3yo and 10mo) for our first family vacation since we had our children. The staff was always helpful and kind, and all amenities were clean, kept up, and easy to use. The prices were a bit steep at the restaurants in the resort, but the food was very good and convenient. Definitely go to the breakfast buffet - excellent!

The staff was also very helpful working around our difficult to predict children's nap schedules, and were always available to bring us extra towels or clean the room at hours which inconvenienced their usual schedule. We never had any trouble getting outstanding service at this resort, which was definitely worth the high prices of this resort.

Room Tip: My sister's-in-law stayed in some of the hotel rooms, and weren't too impressed with the lack of chair and desk in the smaller rooms. If you're going to be doing any business while staying there you may want to consider one of the bigger rooms.

First, I would like to say that Marco Island itself is a hidden gem within Florida. As a Florida native that has lived in this state most of my life, Marco Island is an amazing place to getaway from everything!

As for the Marco Island Marriott Resort, my wife and I can't say too many fantastic things about the hotel and the staff. It is a huge resort, so there are always lots of people there, but the staff is always very pleasant and accommodating. The hotel, its grounds, and the beach are immaculately kept up. We opted to upgrade to a Gulf/Pool with Balcony Room on the 8th floor in the South Tower and it was well worth it. The room was large and the view was beyond amazing. The balcony was quite generously sized and fit 2 chairs and a small table with plenty of room to move around.

It has been stated by other reviewers that the prices do seem a bit high, but if you are familiar with other parts of South FL (especially Miami), they are pretty much in line. We opted to get our breakfast through room service so we could have a laid back morning meal. Quinn's does a great lunch and Korals and Kurrents were both fantastic for dinner.

Now on to the star of the resort... The beach! This is one of the best stretches of beach in FL we have ever visited. The waters reminded us of the Keys and sand was as soft as powder. Since this was a relaxation getaway for my wife and I, we did reserve a 'Chiqui Hut' on the beach, which made our beach experience beyond words. We stayed all day in our hut and even had our lunch delivered from Quinn's!

This is an amazing resort. Pricey.. Yes! But we felt it was well worth it!

Room Tip: Go for an upper room closer to the Gulf.
