“Beautiful property, attentive staff, nice room”
Reviewed March 14, 2014

We attended a convention for the second time here. No complaints. Great bed and lots of pillows and towels. Clean room. Staff always speaks when you pass in halls. Pretty hotel. Fabulous property with the largest beach I've ever seen. Hotel was full but still not hard to get service or move around. 2 huge pools. Pool/ beach staff very nice. Convention rooms great. Really enjoyed our day alone and with the group later. Highly recommend this hotel.

Escaped the never ending winter and headed to Marco Island Marriott. A Family favorite for 20 plus years! Everything about this property is amazing. Thanks to the excellent service and management this resort will continue to be a top choice destination. Looking forward to returning.

Hotel/resort is amazing. Clean. Amazing location. The beach is the best I have seen in the US. About 200 yards deep of powdered sugar white sand level with the hotel. Quite pricey. But you will love this place. Food at the on-site restaurants were very good also. Workout room has a lot of equipment but in a very small area. Quite tight for lifting any weights. Best to just run on the beach. You will not regret staying here. Hope the review helps.

Location, beach, cleanliness, and atmosphere are first rate, although cutbacks are evident (ice but no comp water for tiki hut rental, newspaper by request, no turndown service, price increases overall.) Hall carpets on the 3rd floors in both towers were threadbare. Rooms are beautiful. We stay in gulf front-this is what we're here for, and most rooms do not have good beach views, unless you stay on the north side of the north tower, or near the beach end of the towers (teens to 20s rooms north,50s to 60s in the south-remember this, they won't be sharing any room plans when you get there.) Yes, they do nickel and dime you, because they can. The place is full to capacity this time of year. The plastic wristbands are tacky, as was a letter sent a few years back telling guests how to act, as there was a celebrity guest. I generally have found the guest relations excellent. The Marriott Burger at Quinn's truly is cheeseburger in paradise. Shelling catamaran excursion excellent. Great with or without kids, self-contained resort, other activities, restaurants nearby. Big beautiful pools. Empty your wallet. Streetside rooms start at around 600 dollars/night now and there are plenty of extras.

My wife and I returned to the Marriott for a fourth time. Each year the service continues to go get better and better. You would not have to leave this resort as it has everything right on site. The pool, fitness center and spa are great and everyone makes you feel so welcome. It is a bit pricey, but worth it if you want to totally unwind.

Room Tip: You want to have a room at least on 5th or 6th floor. You also want to pick room such as 831 or 840...

From the first minute you enter the lobby the peace and tranquillity of Marco Island starts to rub on your weary shoulders and set your mind at peace. This really is a chilled out and luxurious affair. There is a nice bar just by the lobby and a café where you can purchase pastries and sandwiches, and relatively decent coffee. The breakfast in the restaurant is fairly average, and really you won't be wanting that much to eat!

The rooms are spacious, gently decorated and very comfortable. The Marriott bed is always worth the trip, and the refreshed décor is an improvement. There is a mini bar plus extra fridge, decent bathroom and large balcony complete with outdoor furniture. You won't want to use it but there is the usual widescreen TV and if you really must check your email then there is strong Wifi reception in all the rooms and most of the hotel.

The beach is fantastic, bright white sands and sparkling blue waters, interesting shells and decent fishing if you fancy. The chikee huts will set you back $35 but are a bit of a necessity when having a day on the beach. If you're on serious holiday and have the money to spend, then you really must enrol the services of the charming and attentive quad-bike-riding waiters from Quinn's on the Beach (the Marriott's beach restaurant - which is also exceptionally good for sundowners).

We have stayed at the Marriott Marco Island three times, each as good as the other. Management staff are attentive and the Concierge are great - do ask them to book restaurants and advise on local attractions. Most of the restaurants in the area have arrangements with local taxi firms which will only cost you the tip. One of our party became unwell during one of our stays, and the concierge recommended a doctor and arranged for a basket of fruit and bottle of wine upon his return - perfect customer service, thank you. Can't comment on the spa as we haven't used it.

Given it's size and location, the hotel is used for conferences and weddings - I don't identify with the negative comments previously listed about the corporate feel taking over, it really doesn't.

Parking is a bit of farce; expensive and is ALWAYS too full, it's difficult to find a space. This is due to space being a premium but could really be improved.

Checking in appears to be on a first-come-first-served basis and it doesn't seem possible to actually book a specific room - this is pretty infuriating.

Room Tip: The best rooms will be on the northern or western face of the northern tower (for unobstructed views...

Ducked over with a friend and her kids for a weekend away and it was fabulous.

The resort and spa is sprawling and is located on, arguably, the most prime and choice hunk of sand and beach in Marco Island.

This is a premium property, so be prepared to pay "resort" pricing for everything you do here. But it is reflected in the staff, service, attention to detail, cleanliness and newness of the property.

It is a very well run operation and I recommend it highly. I had a fabulous time here as a first timer, and hope to return again and again in the coming years.

Multiple pools, activities for kids, a sushi bar / lounge in the lobby, lots of hot tubs, a spa, and some sweet, soft, well cleaned and maintained sandy beach. SCORE!
