We spent two nights here on a quick weekend trip from Miami. From the time we pulled up until the minute we left, we experienced excellent customer service. We stayed in a king beachfront corner room, which had a wraparound balcony; the view was incredible! There are two pools, a bunch of good restaurants, free beach towels, cabanas ($100 for a full weekend day), free beach chairs and umbrellas ($20 each). We had no need to leave the property. We ate dinner at Quinn's and Kurrents, lunch at the Tiki Bar, breakfast at Cafe San Marco and Korals for cocktails and appetizers. The property was very well maintained and beautiful. Although it was just my husband and I, it's definitely a good vacation spot for families with small children. The hotel has a weekly calendar of events, jet ski and other water toy rentals available. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

Room Tip: Corner units have a wraparound balcony

Just spent 7 nights at the Marriott with our family of 5, including our kids (age 7, 5 and 8 mos). We had a great time. You won't find a better place on the beach in Marco to stay. It was a lot pricier than we had thought. We spend quite a bit more than we have on previous Mexican vactions, but it was worth it. We stayed in a basic room. Based on other reviews, we asked for a higher floor. We were given one on the 7th floor of the first tower, which was perfect. Close to the elevator and a great ocean view. I would not pay up for a room upgrade. The resort is perfect for families with young kids. We spent the day moving from the main pool, to the kids pool, to the beach. The resort is big, but not too big. We ate at Quinns on the beach every day for lunch. It was great, Just expect to pay a premium. Also ate at Pazzis one day, which was good. Would have tried the other restaurants if we weren't with young kids. We primarily travel to Mexico and the Carribean for spring break, but decided to take a chance on Marco Island. We were pleasantly suprised. We plan to go back next year with other family members. Also recommend parking in the self-park lot across the street. We did valet for the first few days. Save the $10 a day and walk across the street. You can use the money you save on the $12 drinks at Quinns!

Room Tip: Ask to be higher than the 4th floor. Every room is an ocean view, so don't see a need to pay fo...

We stayed in Marco for 4 nights in mid March and had a wonderful time. We have been to the Marriott in Aruba several times but were not able to make the trip work for us this spring so instead opted to try the resort at Marco Island. I admit I was hesitant about making comparisons, but this place almost measured up except for the weather. The rooms are OK, but the single sink proves to be a little bit of a challenge. The beach is huge and very well kept. The Marriott does a great job of keeping things groomed. Drink service on the beach is great although coolers are permitted. The food overall is good, not great. Tropiks has an amazing breakfast buffet and well worth the price. We also ate at Kurrents one evening and thought it was overpriced and really not that good. My husband can make a better steak at home on the grill. Korals was a great place for a drink and the setting is beautiful. Quinns is your spot for a burger and wings. The cafe is a nice place to pick up a coffee, some fruit and a bagel if you don't want a big breakfast. The staff at the entire resort was top notch from the check in, to the servers, to the valet. The two pools are also nice, but not sure what the big deal was about the towel cards. I did notice it said something about a $25 charge if the cards were not returned, but not sure if that really was the case. We enjoyed our stay overall, just wished it had been a little warmer. I guess Marriott can't control that!

My husband I spent a weekend away on our points at the Marco Island Resort. We arrived late on a Saturday and were greeted by helpful staff & smiles. I honestly do not remember the tower we were in. It was the suggested by the front staff because it would be quite & have a good view. It overlooked the quiet pool & we were lucky enough to watch two weddings from our balcony.

The room was nice-enough. It was nothing spectacular, however clean, spacious & had a wonderful view. The resort overall was wonderful the staff was SO VERY courteous and helpful. Even the cleaning staff inquired if there was anything they could help us with when they greeted us in the hall.

We ate at the sports bar both nights, one night happened to be Super Bowl. Even with the busy crowds the staff was attentive. Burgers we awesome & of course the beer was cold.

Overall the stay was wonderful. We are considering going back with our son next year, the hotel & beach are absolutely gorgeous & I cannot get over how wonderful the staff was the entire stay.

Room Tip: If you are looking for quiet, ask to overlook the quiet pool. We had a room on an odd number floor...

On a white sandy beach with shells galore, with a lovely beach restaurant, entertainment, restaurant serving early bird specials next door, lovely pool, shop selling beach accessories, and coffee kiosk selling fresh fruit, muffins and donuts, if you don't want to go down for breakfast. Close to the Everglades, a selection of shops, and restaurants and in Florida, what more do you want? It also has lovely big rooms with balconies.

My family and I stayed here back in May 2012, yet the experience still hasn't been forgotten, and we're still talking about all the memories we made. The pictures don't really give the resort enough credit, as it truly is beautiful.

The rooms were fine, maids did a great job at keeping them clean. Balcony was a nice touch as the early risers in the family could sit out there and watch the sunrise. Furniture looked new, and the bathroom was clean. Beds were mediocre. I have no problem falling asleep where ever, but some of my family members complained they were uncomfortable.

We only went to one pool, the one that wasn't near Quinn's. It was amazing - there was a waterfall running off a cliff that added to the overall pleasantness of the atmosphere. It was barely ever crowded, lounge chairs were often available and we had no trouble getting any. The beach was beautiful with tons of shells to collect. We almost walked the entire distance of Marco Island one night because we were so intrigued by the beach's beauty. No waves really, water's pleasantly warm.

Food is fine. We always ate at Quinn's for dinner. Service was fine, we don't really care if people ask us how our food is every 2 minutes. Menu got a little tiring to look at after 5 nights though. Prices were fine, nothing too insane. Dishes ranged from about $10 - $15 typically, depending if you wanted an entre or an appetizer. We usually split appetizers, or ordered two entres to share amongst the entire family. We had a car, so we drove to Winn Dixie's in order to get breakfast food such as eggs and bread. We didn't really eat lunch, but when we did, we'd just grab a pizza to share at the pizza place near the pool.

There was an arcade there too, if it interests you. Quite small though, and really cold. No one was ever really in there.

Dive in movies played on some nights, which were entertaining. Very good atmosphere, and great idea.

There were plazas within walking distance, containing some souvenir stores. There was also an icecream shop, and a movie theatre a little further than the souvenir shops, but probably no more than 10 minutes walking distance.

The resort itself was very well laid-out, very beautiful, and clean. Service was great. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Wasn't crowded at all, which made the stay very relaxing. Absolutely amazing experience, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing get-away!

My husband is a presentor at a confrence every summer at the Marco Island Marriott, and my son and I tag along!! Thank you Honey! My son loves is resort! The childrens pool is so much fun for him. He loves the little slide and water fall! The hotel is so kid friendly. Expecially, when you think this is a very high end resort. I guess maybe because it is summer, and all the seasonal people have gone home. the pool bar his very convienant for lunch. Also, the moose at the coffee shop is to DIE FOR!!!! I will say that Quinns restaurant we have had bad food there before. I suggest going off season and during the week. We stayed for a Sat. and we had plenty of people coming from east coast of FL to party. We are sad that we will not be able to attend this outing this year! Hope to see you next~

Room Tip: ask for ocean view, also goto winnDixie or publix and purchase stuff for lunch and breakfast to put...
