I'm not one to write reviews but after reading some recent negative ones I just have to.. We stayed 3/27-4/2 for the first time at this resort as a family of 5 with 3kids under 6... There is so much to do for the kids all day long, the pools were all fantastic and the tiki pool is great for little ones.. The food at piazzas was by far our favorite.. Quinn's was good for a quick burger too.. yes things are a little pricey but nothing that shocked us as we knew it was a vacation spot and would get hit for certain items (ie frozen drinks) the resort had the Easter bunny and a great egg hunt which my kids loved... They had activities set up on the beach and even had a free rock wall up on friday We will Definitely be back many more times to this resort.. Staff was friendly and always out to help.. We never found chairs to be tight at the pool .. we would just use one for our towels and go back and forth with kids on the pool..highly recommend this resort <3

We are platinum elite members so we stay at Marriotts all over. The staff at this particular Marriott were all fantastic! The beds are comfortable, the rooms are nice with a sink outside the shower area (a must for a family), but the best part is the beach! It is large and beautiful. We stayed over spring break so it was crowded, but because the beach is so large, we had room to put everything we needed to relax. Chairs are complementary, but there is a fee for an umbrella, which I recommend for the hot sun. The breakfast buffett is outstanding- we ate other meals off site.

Room Tip: get a large refillable plastic cup from Piazzis (SP?) for $14, and use it every day of your stay

Just before Xmas 2012, my family went to Marco Island resort for a stay. This is a great hotel with gulf front access and nice pools. As with most full service hotels, the meals on site are pricey so we ate out most nights. We had queen size beds in the room that comfortably fit two adults and two kids. The staff were readily willing to help and easy to deal with.

A note on parking...It's across the street and quite expensive. Be sure you really need your vehicle as we walked many places once there at the resort.

Room Tip: The hotel sits perpendicular to the beach so most rooms overlook a pool with a side view of the beac...

A very nice location on Marco Island, it has a number of pools to choose from and a great spot on the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bar area is small and cramped at nights. The rooms are decent in size and decor--standard Marriott Florida style, but I think the common spaces need updating to something lighter and more modern.

Room Tip: Not many but the most expensive look at the beach, but look for one high up facing the far pool.

I was expecting much more.

I have stayed in hotels and resorts ranging from $200 per night to $700 per night, for basic rooms and suites. this was in the middle of that price range. $524 per. I was expecting more for that price. I read many reviews stating this was the best place ever. hardly. not even the best family resort.

the food is average.

the rooms are average.

the pools are small and lack the chairs and space for the amount of people at the resort.

everything was extremely over prices. a family of 4 can't even eat a regular lunch for less than $120. $11-12 dollar drinks? they were not even large. Service at Quinn's or the tiki bar was horrible. I waited 35 min at Quinns for a menu. left. went off property.

breakfast buffet. good deal for kids. $7.99 but an adult buffet was $19-25. so I was going to order the parfait and granola....$15! and fruit cup $12 I might as well get the buffett. cereal $6?!

highly over prices

wi-fi did not work well.

$22 per day for valey parking? cmon. 12 if you park yourself.

maid service was only ok. they did not clean well, only enough to probably not get in trouble. sometimes did not replace soap, or refill soaps. had to ask for towells. etc.... could not control temp. in rooom, so I was either too cold sleeping or sweating. pillows were not good either.

would try another property next time.

Room Tip: room with a view if you can afford it.

This Hotel is top notch from the Decor to the Service, to the amenities and the Staff! We were met with smiles from ear to ear from everyone from the Bellman to the front desk to security during a super busy Spring Break week, when I'm sure their stresses were at a peak. You wouldn't know it by the fabulous treatment we received. Sure the hotel is pricey, but you're getting what you pay for. The place is spotless and it's as close to the Caribbean as you can get without flying out of the country. The property is beautiful, the beach is amazing and pools are great too. True, it's hard to find a spot at the pool during busy weeks, but with a beach that gorgeous who cares. The beach chairs are free and ample, and they litrerally deliver them to the exact spot you want with a big smile. We had the kids with us and there was never a shortage of things for them to do. The convenience of a Hertz desk in the lobby, coupled with Car Service to several area restaurants is just another added perk of this place. You're nuts if you don't book here.

I could go on and on, but I have to wrap it up and give a special shout out to Angie at the front desk, who was just as helpful as could be to everyone she encountered. If you're booking a trip for the family (or just for yourself) look no further. You've found paradise here in the most gorgeous part of Florida's West Coast.

This is a beautiful hotel with great pools. There are plenty of food choices at this hotel. The landscaping is beautiful and the rooms are very clean and up to date. The only reason this was very good is because of the expense.

There are a couple of nice restaurants in walking distance. DaVinci's is a very nice Italian restaurant that has good food. You can dress casual even though it looks formal.

The chairs at the pools fill up early, so be prepared. You can usually find chairs, but not always in the best location. The beach is beautiful and clean. Overall this is a very nice hotel, perfect for a quiet getaway.
