We stayed here for 6 days in early March after a week long cruise and it was just what we wanted, on the beach, not in a busy area and very comfortable. Our room was on the 3rd floor overlooking one of the swimming pools and it was quite big and had a quality feel about it. We ate in Quinns a couple of times, the food was pretty good and service very friendly. Had breakfast in Tropiks as well and food was typical Marriott fare again with friendly service. The other venue we used was 400 Pazzis which was by comparison OK. If you want restaurants outside the hotel there are a few within walking distance and a better selection a short drive away. All the other facilities were great and the beach was fantastic.

If you're looking for a great venue on the beach to relax and recharge in SW Florida you probably won't go too wrong here.

We stayed for two nights on the tail end of a trip that had us in Tampa,Orlando,Miami,Key West,Marco Island and then Ft Myers to fly home. We just loved this resort. It is huge. Three pools,restaurants,shops,activities....you name it. Every space is manicured and polished. The service was great. Our room was average, the bathroom a bit small, but the balcony view of the gulf made up for anything!! We spent our last day on the beach. Went down intending to walk and got an umbrella and chairs and never moved all day! Nice touch to have servers on the beach for drinks and lunch. Very attentive. The sunset is beautiful. We ate at Quinns and Pazzi and had room service too. All good!

A step above the typical large, family and convention-oriented resort. Rooms are new-ish and very comfortable, also surprisingly quiet for all the activity going on. My husband and I were in a first-floor room and I was a little apprehensive as there were several events going on in the nearby ballrooms, but our room was peaceful and we didn't hear any noise from the parties. The service was excellent and very friendly. We didn't eat at the hotel, so I can't comment on the food. We did have cocktails in the bar, and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and good drinks. Pools (one for adults, the other for families) are lovely. I had a massage in the spa and the staff was skilled and professional. The facilities were average for a hotel spa. The Marco beach, for those who haven't been there, is spectacular -- Wide, un-crowded, full of shells and walkable for a long distance. The water is shallow for quite a distance, and very calm, ideal for kids. It's also bordered by protected wildlife areas, so the area fronted by hotels and condos quickly gives way to un-developed beachfront areas full of birds and native plants.

My husband and I enjoyed a four day stay at Marriott Marco Island to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We enjoyed our stay very much.
The grounds are beautiful and meticulously maintained. Our 8th floor, partial Gulf view room seemed recently renovated. It had a good-sized balcony and sitting area with a lovely view . We were surprised by the quality of shells that one could find just walking on the beach.
The staff was friendly and attentive.
Off property, on Marco , we spent a great afternoon with sailing and shelling with Captain Corey of Off the Hook Adventures. They sail from a marina just 5 minutes from the hotel. We saw dolphin, learned about the area and sailing. We had a wonderful fresh seafood meal at Lee Be Fish. Geat Prices and a little courtyard eating area. We also had a good beakfast at NeNe's Kitchen.
This was a splurge trip for us. We knew going in that things on property were going to be higher than our usual price range. For instance, I had a good burger and fries from Quinns that was $14.95, Weekday breakfast buffett with eggs made to order at Tropiks was $50.00 for 2 people. The Pina Colada (that I thouroughly enjoyed) served poolside was $12.95.
We hope to visit again.

My wife and I were in Florida's Marco Island Marriott Resort from March 7, 2013 through March 12, 2013 at a business conference. Our room was a one bedroom suite, which was spacious and comfortable, although quite expensive (~$750 per night). It is spring break month, so the hotel was crowded. The breakfast buffet at Tropiks was good, not great. We had to go early to avoid the rush. 9:00 AM and later is a zoo. 8:00 AM is comfortable. Kurrents restaurant was quite good and easy to get into, because it is expensive, but worth it. Any trip to Marco should include dinner at Little Bar in Goodland, Fl. a 15 minute drive from the hotel. It is a hole in the wall type of restaurant, but the food was excellent and reasonable.
The hotel is huge and I had to walk about 1/4 mile to the meetings, but it was indoors all the way The beachfront rooms are best and the sunsets spectacular.
The beach is about 200 yards wide and snow white fine grain sand; just beautiful.
The golf at Hammock Bay and the Rookery is very good, although a bit difficult for me. I am a 16 handicap. The golf is about a fifteen minute drive from the hotel, (I believe Marriott owns both courses). Traffic this time of year is brutal, as there is only one way on and off the island and many stop lights and signs along the way.

The Marco Island, Florida Marriott is fabulous. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Everyone there was wonderful. We felt welcome and right at home the minute we entered the door. The room had a wonderful view however, it was a little bit small. There were 3 women in our room, haha. So of course we could have used a little more room. I can't say enough about the staff, they were more than accomadating. Everyone was friendly and helpful. It was an amazing trip. If you don't want to leave the property The Marriott has bunches to offer. Absolutely, no complaints!

Went there with my daughter and we really enjoyed the hotel and resort. Rooms were nicely appointed and we had a "gulf view" which I highly recommend. The view of the gulf is superb and is so wide that one can see the curvature of the horizon. Everyone at the resort was helpful and courteous. It was quite crowded and busy but the resort seemed to handle it well. Pools were nice but it was very hard to find chairs - this is something they could work on. The wait at the restaurants was very long - again maybe a consequence of the time of year, and it did somewhat detract from the experience. Spa was excellent!

Room Tip: Recommend "gulf view" well worth it.
